I respect Mary Lou's phone call and email trying to ensure that feedback is given -- so here is mine. I ordered a particular UPS battery backup device (small and suited for my location and purpose). It was received and is working perfectly fine.
The order fulfillment process was a bit difficult, however. Ordered July 9th ... credit card charged/paid on July 15th ... order status "unfulfilled" day-after-day ... i used the online chat which was mostly chat-bot type replies with link to check order status ... finally, after 10 days more, I called customer service rep on July 25th. She was hard to hear (sounded 10 ft away from the microphone), but she looked up the order and said she would need to "get in touch with the Team". I have no idea why she did not have the tools, as a CSR, to look at the order and troubleshoot the order workflow, but she was unable to help me. Soon, i received a 'chat' reply that the order would ship directly from the manufacturer on Monday July 28th. The order arrived July 31st. Online (look it up), Saitech publishes policies that clearly say that the customer's credit card is not billed until the order is shipped -- that was not true for my order. Either the company needs to adhere to its rules, or change the published policy.
Now, the worst part is that the CSR did not tell me what was wrong. That lack of transparency is a problem. I am willing to believe that a 22 day time-to-delivery of this small order was an unusual fluke -- I would like that believe that somebody just forgot to forward the order to the manufacturer who would ship the item. If the CSR had just told me that, I would be fine with it --- things like that probably happen sometimes. But, I am left with the concern that the Saitech order fulfillment workflow is not efficient, and it doesn't have quality checks and notifications to assure timely order fulfillment -- because that's what the customer is left to believe when nobody is transparent enough to say "I'm sorry but somehow we failed to send this order to the manufacturer for shipping". I hope that's what happened because if it's just a screwed up company workflow with CSR's and order fulfillment processes that just don't work, then customers will be lost -- like me -- I have no clue why it took 22 days to get my order, but there is no reason for me to order from Saitech in the future not knowing...

That misstep triggered a cascade of issues across PayPal, my bank, and eSaitechās Shopify backend. Enter MaryLou from eSaitech customer service.
