Collector's Paradise — Local services in Fresno

While not as large or as clean as some of the other card shops here in fresno, Collectors Paradise is my favourite. There is always a nice selection of cards for standard, modern and edh, and with prices that you can't find anywhere else. There are also a number of binders where you can buy cards on commission. The owner, Mike, is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He's always quick with a smile and a "How do you do?". He's at his store 7 days a week, watching movies or TV shows, and he's always willing to shoot the breeze. He doesn't play card games himself, and he'll always quote scarface at you. "Don't get high on your own supply". Most days, you find a good group of people there willing to play any style. Add to that the numerous tournaments and competitions, and it's easy to find something you'll feel...

A hole in the wall place with a great variety of Magic the gathering cards. I tend more to go for Pokemon cards; and there is a decent variety but I will say that this place possibly has the best prices. Going to other card shops you may see that some places have maybe a booster box and might be selling it for 45 or 50 dollars but over here you may get them for 35 or 40. And while 5 dollars off may not seem like a big deal; when you are a collector those few dollars off go a long way. I remembered coming to this place as a child and it being more open to cards such as Yu-Gi-Yo, Magic, sports cards, and Pokemon. Collector's Paradise has changed very little over many years. This good in respect to Mike's costumer service and his fair dealings in terms of card sales and trade-ins. He has always given me a good deal when it comes to my purchase/trade-in of MTG cards and always with a friendly attitude. Unfortunately, the place needs a huge renovation, or at least better maintenance and cleaning. The entire store is disheveled, chairs and tables are old and falling a part, the carpet is full of tears and stains, the store is unorganized and cluttered; it all leads to a feeling of being cramped.
