This place is OK. Not great, just OK. The goods: From the moment that I walked in there, I felt very relaxed, and it was a very warm welcome from the person at the front desk. It is a beautiful salon, with a lot of selections on color. It wasnât really crowded either, which is something that I prefer, especially when going to a nail salon. I believe TG? I cannot remember her name, but she did my pedicure and did a fantastic job. Super detailed, super nice, and made sure my pedicure was everything it needed to be.
The bad: Allan, did my gel X, which was a quite frustrating process for him. He was nice, but seeing that my nails werenât drying correctly under the gel lighting, Iâm not sure if he was just rushing or if he was displeased with how long it was taking, but the experience from That is probably not going to allow me to go back. I feel like when you are under pressure you canât let it show and he did. He kept getting upset with the process, rushing my nails to be dry, and Iâm so sad about this because I really love the area and how beautiful the salon is, but unfortunately, a few of my nails came out pretty lumpy, and uneven, and When you pay $174, you expect your nails to be completely and almost dang near perfect. I also wonât be back because they donât take AMEX either. If I do go back, it would probably be to get the most basic pedicure and basic manicure. Other than that, itâs an OK establishment to get...
Read moreI was very hopeful because of the comments made by managers to other clients âwe take our timeâ âwe make sure everything is good!â âWe arenât like the other places.â
Well this is the result of that. Lumpy blotchy gel manicure. My momâs dip took literally 15min!! It was unreal and morning a good way. And to top it all off we got sat at uncleaned stations and the folks just worked around that. This was at 11am on Wednesday with appointments so no excuse.
Better yet, the man doing my nails left several times to have a smoke even though he said he was going to get something and came back smelling so strong of cigarettes it was disgusting!!!
And to clear up any potential confusion, my nails arenât lumpy or bumpy so thatâs all terrible polish application.
Such a shame :(
Reply to the comment from the salon: I can assure you that an appointment was made. Try checking a misspelled version of my name. The male technician with the rotting teeth who was absolutely smoking is who did my nails. If you need more proof I can gladly post the bank charge that was charge to my account on the day I paid for the two services I refer to in the review. Instead of being combative and make it sound like a customer is being dishonest or confused, recognize that the services provided were horrible and either try to make it right or at least...
Read moreI was really hoping to find a great nail salon nearby so I wouldnât have to keep driving all the way to Plano. Unfortunately, this spot wonât be replacing my go-to salon.
Letâs start with the good: ⢠I tried Gel-X for the first time, and I really liked it! Itâs super lightweight and looks so much better than acrylic â definitely a nice surprise.
Now for the not-so-great: Nail designs are not their strong suit. My tech did her best, but she didnât have the right tools to achieve the look I wanted. See added photos of what I requested and what I received. They charge extra for just about everything, which adds up quickly. You only get one drink, which feels a little stingy. The Royal Jelly Pedicure was underwhelming. I didnât get to choose my scent, the neck rub felt rushed, and the callus treatment was pretty ineffective.
Overall, Iâm not angry â just disappointed. I wanted this place to be the one, but it fell short in...
