🗣️ New Review: Jam & Toast, Frisco
Jam & Toast is right next door to my gym so today I decided to stop for lunch after a good workout. It is located in a shopping center off 380 and Coit.
The decor here is on point, I love what they did with the place. It’s cozy and has a great aesthetic, I like the balance of materials of the greenery with the Brick and greenery. Even the bathroom is cute!!
At Jam and Toast, the Denver omelet is a hearty, classic choice that delivers on every level. The omelet arrives perfectly folded, with a golden exterior that hints at the deliciousness within. As I cut into it, the fluffy eggs give way to a colorful mix of diced ham, bell peppers, and onions. The ham is generously portioned and savory, complementing the sweetness of the bell peppers 🫑. I asked for salsa and it with some pepper finished it nicely.
Each bite is a delightful balance of textures and flavors, with the gooey melted cheese binding everything together beautifully. The omelet isn't too greasy, which I appreciate, and the vegetables still have a bit of crunch, adding to the freshness. It’s clear that Jam and Toast takes care in preparing their dishes, as this Denver omelet tastes like it was made with quality ingredients and a good dose of culinary skill.
Served alongside I ordered fruit, which was perfect ripeness. The service is prompt, and the atmosphere at Jam and Toast is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to continue (or start) the day. Whether you’re a Denver omelet aficionado or just looking for a satisfying brunch, this dish at Jam and Toast is sure to hit the...

Read moreFirst they are very up front about making sure customers understand that this is NOT the place to hang out. Right on the front door there are rules of the road regarding how long you can stay. However, we felt harassed every moment of our meal while attempting to have a nice Sunday morning breakfast and conversation, without having to spend time making breakfast… this was not the place for that experience. While being attentive, our server was constantly interjecting and taking away our dishes as we finished, he hovered at every moment. Usually I am able to have at least one refill of coffee but we were given so little time to order, eat and pay that I barely finished the first scalding hot cup. Once we ordered, food came very quickly (almost too quickly) and we could tell by the quality and temp of the food it WAS too quickly. The French toast was dry, hash browns out of a bag, eggs just barely cooked to over-easy, sausage was also dry and the fruit “glaze” was flavorless. Our server continued to hover as well as other staff, we felt rushed and overwhelmed as we tried have our conversation AND I haven’t even gotten to the price which with a 15% tip was over $100, which is insane, especially for the meager amount of food and time we were given to eat it. This experience was a failure for our style of dining out, we will not return. Thanks for being friendly (hence 2 stars) but no thanks (I like to enjoy my food and my companions...
