German Doner Kebab: A Flavorful Oasis in Frisco Frisco's dining scene is a vibrant tableau of culinary delights, and German Doner Kebab stands out as a beacon of authentic and flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you step into their inviting restaurant, you're enveloped in an aroma that promises a tantalizing gastronomic adventure. Their signature doner kebabs are the epitome of culinary artistry. The thinly sliced meat, marinated to perfection, is cooked to a succulent tenderness that melts in your mouth. The meat is generously piled onto a bed of fresh, crisp lettuce and tomatoes, creating a symphony of textures and flavors. Each bite is a harmonious blend of savory meat, tangy sauces, and the refreshing crunch of vegetables. Their sauces, both garlic and chili, are masterpieces in their own right. The garlic sauce adds a subtle yet piquant flavor, while the chili sauce delivers a fiery kick that awakens your taste buds. Both sauces complement the doner meat flawlessly, adding depth and complexity to every bite. Their doner wraps are a testament to their culinary versatility. The meat, encased in a soft and pliable tortilla, is a portable feast that satisfies both your hunger and your cravings. Each bite bursts with flavor, and the freshness of the ingredients is evident in every mouthful. Their doner fries are a delightful twist on a classic dish. The crispy fries are generously coated with their signature garlic sauce, creating a savory and addictive treat. The fries are the perfect complement to the doner kebabs, adding a touch of indulgence to the meal. German Doner Kebab is not just about the food; it's an experience that engages all your senses. The restaurant's vibrant ambiance, coupled with the attentive and friendly service, creates a welcoming and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned kebab connoisseur or a curious newcomer, German Doner Kebab is a must-try destination. Their commitment to quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and impeccable service makes them a true gem in Frisco's culinary landscape

11/11/23 Update: They seem to read the feedback from reviews. In my last two visits, I’ve noticed the following improvements: Speed: The food has been ready on time in less than 20 minutes. Online ordering is now available. Quality: Significantly more meat in the kebabs and larger sauce containers for those who purchase extra sauces. —— I really like the doner kababs. Thingy and slightly crispy meats, refreshing and veggies stuffed inside a waffle bread that’s soft and slightly chewy and crispy. I wish it was a bit more saucy but you can order extra sauce on the side. I prefer garlic sauce. The sandwich has a very good portion size and meat ratio for the money. It has a distinct texture from a gyro or shawarma. Now, regarding the speed of service, they have been pretty accurate at estimating how long it will take so you can make an decision if you would like to wait. My first visit was a Friday around 1pm. No line and I had my food in 20mins as estimated. My second visit was a Saturday night. There was a 30 minutes line to order with 9 people in front of me. The food was ready in an additional 28 minutes. I believe it would’ve been beneficial for the restaurant to remain in a soft opening stage for a little longer. Maybe one or two months for the staff and customers to become more familiar. Alternatively and unsure how much flexibility does franchisees have to modify operations but temporary during rush hours, limit the amount of items and variants available for purchase. I perceived two factors slowing down the operations. 1) New restaurant with too many options. This lead customers to take a long time deciding and asking unnecessary questions. 2) 99% of the staff still learning. For the first quarter and during rush hour, the options should be limited to maybe the Doner Kabab sandwiches and fries and drinks. The soda machine should be replaced with a simpler one that operated with levels rather hr screen with bunch of soda flavors, that also created another line whole people had to program the soda machine.

I really like going to this place because of the chicken. I'm not much of a meat eater but I like the chicken here and this one of the few places that serves halal chicken like this. But this time I went and I ordered a Doner box with chicken and fries. I usually order a Doner box with fries, chicken, cheese and jalapenos. I don't get any cheese with this though. The problem was that the person who took my order recommended that I get the doner box with fries and chicken and then add Jalapenos. I did just that because I thought that the employee taking my order had my best interests in mind but instead I got charged with an extra dollar for adding Jalapenos and got a measly 3 Jalapenos. This time I also got barely any meat either and charging me $11.99 for barely anything is just bad service is general. I've ordered here several times before and have gotten my usual but no cheese and have gotten a good amount of Jalapenos with my usual. I also don't know why the employee would charge me extra for something when I can just the same thing but no fries. I don't know why but the employees here have a problem with removing the cheese even though it does not charge them extra or anything. I work in food service too and know how this all works(customer satisfaction and best interests in mind are important), and removing something from a order does not negatively impact the restaurant and its end of the day salary report at all. I've heard employees making faces too and saying "no cheese🙄" when I simply ask for something to be removed. I really do like the environment, design and just the overall feeling from the place but the service is not it.

If you see that this place is "classified" as German food place, you will not find the traditional German sausages and meats. In fact, it was very confusing to me. Perhaps I'm speaking from ignorance or from not knowing this side of German cuisine, idk. I've been to authentic German restaurants, owned by generations of German lineage and have never seen "German shwarma" infused with curry in their dishes. Truly, to me, it was more Mediterranean.

The place is bright, open and offers a good amount of seating. However, there is no attention to cleaning after customers leave. It wasn't busy at all when we came in, and every seating was so dirty.

The young man taking our order was kind, friendly, patient and helpful in answering our questions while we made our order. The other man, perhaps the cook, in the back was leaning on the back window, between being on his phone and just waiting for something to do. This same man in the back on his phone also made it uncomfortable when we were finishing our meal.

The place was empty and not near closing time. The man from the back, came to take our trays and clean our finished plates. Initially we appreciated this, but then he stood there waiting for one of us to finish the couple of bites left while we were talking. When we looked at him with a probably a quizzical look, he made it a point to say he was waiting for the last couple of bites to be finished so he could clean our trays. This was odd and rude.

While this is not my palate of cuisine, I would've recommended it to people who like Mediterranean foods and flavors. The dishes and amount of food in each dish is decent, but the service in the end left a bad taste on our visit. I would not say not to go, I would just say understand the culture of service here and take from it what you will. Maybe it will be different for you.

It's really great to see so many new eateries coming in the area. We are big supporters of new and local owned businesses. It feels unfortunate when the appreciation doesn't feel mutual. Customers help bring in other customers. Service and experience is one of those things we share with each other, not just the food. Hopefully they will see this as a view they might not have considered and be thoughtful, patient and offer a...
