Discovery Kids Learning Center — Local services in Fruita

I HIGHLY recommend DKLC! My girls have grown up going there for the last 11 years, from the time they opened. My oldest was 2 1/2 and my youngest was only 3 months old and I could not have asked for a better place to have taken them. I always knew my girls were taken care of while I was at work. My girls went into kindergarten knowing how to spell their name, knowing the alphabet and address, colors and so much more all because of DKLC. Kirk and Kim are wonderful owners and you can tell that they care so much about the kids that go there and their families and are very much involved in the running of the centers and do a great job. I have never had any issues or concerns, the teachers that they have had there over the years have all been great and have had some kind of part in my girls learning. They let kids express themselves and be who they are and help them to think big and explore their imagination. They take fun field trips and spend time outside. My daughter has been going to DKLC for almost three years now, most of which at the Fruita center and more recently at the GJ center. I was a teacher there in the tods room and was extremely happy to have my daughter so close to me. Kirk and Kim, the owners were always supportive of my pursuit of a teaching degree. I am now teaching for the distract and could not have been happier that they opened the second center so that I could keep my daughter with a center I know and trust.

Kirk is involved to a great degree at both centers, working unbelievable hours to ensure a high quality of care. Each classroom teacher strives to give the children the necessary academic and social skills. I have never found the centers to be too strict, I have always appreciated the structure as I believe it is in every child's best interest to have structure. Our three kids have been attending Discovery Kids for close to 4 years now and we couldn't be happier with them! Our kids love it there!! They are on top of everything you would expect from an established daycare/learning center. This facility has prepared our children in so many ways before entering Elementary School and they are still there for us even with our kiddos getting to school age. We truly believe our children are excelling in Elementary school because Discovery has helped prep them beforehand! Our kids love their teachers and the staff there so much they run up and give them hugs even when we see them out shopping. We love that they help transport the kids to and from school if we need morning or afternoon help and we always know that our kiddos are safe there!
