Reed Park — Attraction in Fruita

Great improvements made in 2024 with a new skate park, new horseshoe pits, new multiple game court(I.E basketball, tennis,etc.).remodeled playground w/ new merry go round, benches made out of recycled remains of old merry go round, two new covered seating areas (in addition to the old one) with drinking fountains and electrical outlets and five new bathrooms replacing the two old ones. I will always remember Reed Park both as the site of Fruita realtor Lori Chesnick's annual summer barbecue for the town, and as one of the last places you can ride a merry-go-round anymore! I LOVE the merry-go-round - you don't find those everywhere anymore. This park also has lots of room to run around (the whole town shows up for the summer BBQ, after all) and also has restrooms, water fountains, and plenty of picnic...
