The positives-online store self pick up was smooth and easy. Also 5 of 6 employees were nice and tried to be helpful, although all but one were too inexperienced, untrained, or ineffective to succeed. The negatives- efficient store mgmt practices lacking causing frustration and delays for both customers and employees. Front register phones are not visibly posted with their phone extensions, store location number, and store telephone number, all information that is very frequently needed by employees. 3 of 4 employees were unable to give store location number when asked for by their cc help desk. Employees at both ends of a pager we're unable to ascertain the correct phone extension to call. This is such an easy fix! Post VISIBLE info labels on your phones please Kohls! Also, despite having an automated system in place to verify Kohls cc acct phone contact, social security number, address, + in person photo id shown to match all above, cc help desk unable to provide help or provide any type of auth code to employee to proceed. Used a diff cc. 3rd time this has happened at registers. No cc help on weekends. Although I used my credit card within last 2 weeks for an online order and verified that the credit card number was all up-to-date with no issues it still happens at checkout every time.. incredible waste of time and extremely frustrating!! Comparing this shopping experience to one at Target a week ago there is simply no contest....Target...
Read moreI am really disappointed in this kohls, specifically the Amazon drop off part of it. They might as well not even have that option because the women working there tonight didnât help me, one of them had no idea what she was talking about, and they were rude about everything. I was returning two items that were a gift, and one item that I had just bought, and they wouldnât help me return any of them. In fact, the older woman asked me if I could move, in the middle of me trying to return my things, so she could help other people. But I was talking to her, it was so rude! I go here all the time and I even have a kohls card and Iâm just really upset that not only did they not help me, they acted like it was my fault and then weâre rude about it. I wanted to buy a necklace chain there also but i couldnât even look at them because I had to carry all my boxes and my two children back to the car. I ended up going to the ups store up the street and they returned my stuff with a nice attitude and no problems. It honestly makes me not want to shop here anymore if they arenât going to be nice about...
Read moreI visited the store with my mom and was helped by an elderly man named John. From the start, the interaction felt off. When I asked about discounts for Kohl's cardholders, he flatly responded with a "no." While I understand that discounts arenât always available, his tone was very dismissive.
My momâs card wasnât active, so John asked for her ID, which is standard. However, he held onto it far longer than necessary. While I was translating for my mom in Spanish, he repeatedly called the card "garbage" loudly and rudely, even though the account was active.
I also noticed an unsettling stare from him, which felt intimidating toward my mom. His behavior was unprofessional and made the experience uncomfortable. Good customer service is rare, and this interaction with John was very poor. Although he referred to the card as "garbage," I felt there was an underlying tone to his words. I tried not to escalate the situation, but this is why I prefer to shop onlineâsuch an...
