We were really excited to see a new spot open up here, as it’s walkable for us! We went last weekend.
Pros: We loved the food and ambiance. I got the red curry with pineapple and shrimp. The curry was delicious, however, the shrimp was just a little overcooked.
We really enjoyed the tea flight & would definitely get that again & the Thai tea cheesecake was also really good. Service was friendly
Cons: The biggest issue for us was that they seem to have forgotten to put my husband’s order in. I got my dish and waited at least 10 minutes to start, finally decided to eat, and finished, & we had to wait at least 15 minutes after I finished for his dish. In total, it took over an hour and 15 minutes for him to get his food (and it was a ground pork dish; nothing that should take that long). During this time, we were given no updates and when we finally asked about it, no one offered an apology, no offer to comp any dishes, nothing. We understand that they were still open under their soft opening and that things happen, but it’s unacceptable to not communicate that with your customer and to leave one member of a party without food.
To management: train staff in how to handle it if they forget to put a dish in, communicate with the customer and offer a dish on the house for the inconvenience
We will return in a couple of months during the full opening to see if these issues have...
Read moreWent during Sunday lunch, we did a walk in and waited for about 30min.
We were disappointed in food and services, despite so many reviews on social medias.
The food: The first dish came out at a good amount of time, but the food came out one dish at a time. Imagined a party of 6 and not doing a family style, we would be watching one person eat, finished, then your dish comes. The food is either a hit or miss, like it’s lacking certain flavors and could be better. Love that they have varieties and dishes don’t commonly found in many Thai restaurants.
We ordered: -Pad Thai Chicken: kinda bland, needs more flavor. -Morning glory + crispy pork: oh so good! -Leng Saab: SO GOOD! Meat on the pork ribs were so tender and came off easily. The broth was so zesty and good amount of mild spice. -grilled squid: was mushy and slimy. Dipping sauce was good though. -papaya salad: was good, but ordered mild and it was definitely spicier than mild and it was hard to enjoy. -kao soi: looks good, but the curry itself was a little water down. -drinks: phuket thai tea and thai lemon iced tea were good.
Service: Staff were friendly, but always missing. Food comes - no service spoons. Soup comes - no bowls. Drink comes...
Read moreCame here 2x now during soft opening. So far, we have ordered the Roti with curry dip, pad see ew chicken, pad see ew pork, yellow curry, panang curry, Leng Saeb (Rib Soup) and mango sticky rice which literally all have been SO good.
This place replaced another thai place, which manon definitely outperforms in terms of food. The quality of food is really good, and the flavors are insanely delicious. As a Pad See Ew fan, this one is definitely my favorite (and I have tried so many in LA and OC). It's so impressive how well they cooked the pork with their dishes. It is soft and easy to chew. The curries are smooth and creamy, well balanced in flavors and spice. Also, don't miss out on ordering the mango sticky rice, BEST I have ever had too! The mango is soft and sweet, and their rice and syrups complement each other.
Overall service was fantastic! I love it when restaurants are attentive, especially when it comes to just the basics, such as refilling our waters. The interior is beautiful and really clean.
I'm so happy this came to our town. I will be coming here as...
