I went here to get my septum pierced and did not have a good experience. A few days after it was pierced it got infected, and I went to a different studio to have it looked at. They confirmed that it was infected and also told me it was pierced in the wrong spot, so it would eventually need to be removed and redone. When it was removed I found they used externally-threaded jewelry at Stay Gold, which if you don’t know, is not good as it can damage the tissue where it was pierced. In addition to all of these issues afterwards my experience in the shop was not great either. The piercer was nice but he was blasting heavy metal and wearing sunglasses while he pierced me. The girl setting up the jewelry handled it with no gloves and just sprayed it down with some solution. They also didn’t give any written aftercare instructions.
EDIT after owner response: I'm not sure who you think I am, but you have me confused with somebody else. I never even came back to Stay Gold to get it looked at because I live 2 hours away. That's why I went to another shop in my town to get it looked at, instead of driving 2 hours. Because I didn't even come back to the studio, I didn't have it looked at by the guy who pierced me or talk to him about having it redone. I also never said anything about it being crooked. I don't know your piercer at all besides the one time I met him when he pierced me, so I don't have a "personal thing" against Dani. Your response accusing me of being a liar is extremely unprofessional and a sad way to respond to a customer who had a negative experience. I will say, to be positive, that my sister and her friend who got pierced the same day with me (nostril piercings) had good ...
Read moreNow I wasn’t gonna leave a review and just take my L and treat this as a learning experience. But I just found out that I might had been intentionally suckered out of a $100 deposit. Laura I don’t know if I spelled her name right. But I got recommended by a friend of hers who is also my coworker since I am looking for some new tatts, I drive an hour to meet her everything is going smooth I made an appointment from a few months from that time and she gave me a price I was cool with it, later on my car breaks down a month before the schedule I can’t make the trip so I reached out to reschedule I apologize to her about the situation and she seemed ok on text about it. She told me she’ll be out of town and could it I do a Wednesday. Sure I have some specific date and reminded her I can’t do it around the remaining time we agreed on so if there’s a specific Wednesday what is it. Never got a text back no nothing. Coworker asked me if I got the tat, I told him no and showed him the text and he said oh yeah she does that. What do you mean by that? She intentionally stops communicating with possible clients? And he went quiet right after so I’m believing that’s not far from the truth the way everything played out. Like I said before I was just gonna take my lose but that friend of hers outed her and that’s some grimy b.s. right there. The tattoo was supposed to be a female werewolf and if that had worked out I was gonna set up an appointment for a female vampire and as female Frankenstein. Was going for the big 3 movie monsters but in a sexy pinup kind of way. She was nice and friendly so why I leave a...
Read moreI went to get a nose piercing here because this was the closest one to my home, but I didn't really like my experience. The two guys were debating on who was going to do my piercing which was unprofessional. I was literally the only person there. I was done with my paper work and stood there probably 2 to 4 minutes for one of them to service me. A few minutes after another customer came for a tattoo finish. One of the guys quickly helped them there was no wait for them. He also told the other guy that was sitting in his office on his phone to do my piercing. But yet, he acted as if he didn't want to do it. Which he didn't because as I was walking behind him when he told me to come to the back he blowed his breath. Like what? Rude much? If you didn't want to do it you could have told me and I would have politely walked out. It's the fact that I've wanted it done for so long I didn't want anything to get in the way of that. So I stayed in a good mood the whole time even though the service I received was trash. The guy that did my piercing I didn't see him wash his hands or clean my nose before he pierced it. Which was also weird because when you get piercings done you're suppose to do those things. Two stars because things could've been handled more professionally, the guys could've been more upfront if they didn't want to do it instead of debating, and the guy that did my piercing attitude could've...
