ALDI — Local services in Fultondale

It's a very good grocery store with excellent prices. They are definitely giving Walmart a severe run for the money. They need a much larger store and more depth in some of their products but the things they sell are as good and, mostly, better than the name brand and Walmart's Great Value food. Or any other stores brands as far as that goes. I do know that the store in Jasper is actively looking for a larger building or a place to build. I truly hope they find it soon because we would love to do all our shopping for food there. Oh! I almost forgot! Their meat is better than Walmart even dreams of being. I don't ever buy hamburger meat unless I can look at it. I've gotten a lot of gristle in their five and ten pound packs. I tried Aldi's just to see if their totally covered packs was as good as the see through packs. I have yet to find anything wrong with either of those and we will continue to buy our hamburger as well as other meats there. ALL of the meats have been first class and a lot less pricey. I hope you try them out and buy their store brand items because I don't think you will be...

This happened 5/11 around 7, and luckily my boyfriend caught this. Once we realized what happened I went to the cashier to ask him about it and he immediately got defensive. I asked if he could correct it and all he said was “ you need to get to back of the line” very rudely, my response was “you made the mistake, why can’t I just be the next customer”. The line was pretty long. He told me no and he wouldn’t take me next, so I went and got the manager who also did not seem to care. As I was getting the manager my boyfriend could see the guy slamming stuff around and once the manager went over to talk to him,I could see them both smiling and making comments. At the end I did get my refund. The man did not apologize and neither did the manager. You could obviously see they did not care and it was a joke.

We only had one jar of icing and he rang up 9. If you look right below it he also rang up 4 of the chocolate chip morsels when we only had 1 bag but...

The remodel has added items to the stores selection and is very nice, but I prefer they never give in to the superstore model. Have given them 5 stars for their efforts to make REAL not chemical analog, artificially flavored food the mainstay of their offerings. Fewer selections of highest, healthiest quality suffices. They carry many NON-GMO and organic items for the same price (or very close) one would pay for regular pesticide & chemical laden food. Keep up the great work of returning wholesome, nature produced, sustainable food to the market place!!
