I can only recommend anyone who plans to work with wood and aims for individuality to pay these guys a visit! Earlier this year I bought a large piece of Ash that I turned into a desk - from the moment I walked in these guys were absolutely friendly, passionate and helpful and helped me make my vision come true. After discussing a few ideas, touring the shop, and exploring the options, we found the perfect piece for me. They filled the few cracks of the slap with epoxy, cut it to length and a lot earlier than originally promised the piece was ready for pickup. The months after I spent finishing the desk and I am absolutely happy with the result. Not only is it a beautiful piece of wood, but also a perfect reference to the tree of life Yggrasil, central to the Norse mythology in a region of earth which I spent a memorable part of my life in, hold fond memories of, and which this desks reminds me of daily. I don’t own tools but wanted to fix Mama & Grandpa’s unleveled kitchen table to one day refurnish! Bought a leveler and measured thickness using sticky notes. Found a discounted spare cut of wood but Lowe’s and Home Depot wouldn’t cut inches for me. Wasn’t sure how Id fix Mama’s table. Decided to stop at Rescued Wood Rehab in Fuquay Varina. These guys are just awesome! I walked in one day with an antique wooden jewelry/music box that came from Italy, it was a gift to my wife many years ago, it was a bit in disrepair, scratched and the top cover had lost its screws. I wanted to fix it up to give it as a gift again, now to my daughter in law. They gave me 100% of their attention, they researched and found the exact screws that were needed, they did such a beautiful job, they polished it and made it look new! They are very talented.
