They don’t even deserve a star. I have been dealing with this situation since June 2023. My husband and I purchased a new home and hired Home Depot to replace our holding door with a double door. Two days later after the door was installed it began to leak. Contacted Home Depot multiple times they sent someone out once. In December after coming home from work walking through my kitchen saw that more water was coming through the door and flooded my entire kitchen. I had to contact a company to rip up my flooring and set up equipment to drain the water out every time it rained because of this. Again Home Depot was contacted and showed no eagerness to address the situation. They then placed me in contact with their “insurance “ company Sedgewick who has also done little to nothing. Their excuse for the door leaking was that the door was not painted. Though a nonsensical excuse, how was I suppose to paint a door that leaked 2 days after the install. Late April they finally replaced the door. But to my look this door was not only smaller but worse then the first. This door however was painted and leaked worse then the first. Water was coming through the bottom top and middle section where the two double doors were suppose to meet. Once again Home Depot was contacted. They sent someone out to check the door and make a report. Weeks past I tried contacting them no answer contacted the insurance company and they never know anything. After a few months I was given a reply of “ oh it’s still leaking? They again sent someone out to do the same report the claim to have not received and a water test. Less then a minute of this water test the door started leaking. Keep in mind every time it rains my brand new kitchen floods out. They know this because I have been vocal and have sent emails and pictures along with video. I demanded that the door be remeasured and that I would get another brand new door. Ontop of the the flooring that we use in our home no longer exist. So this is the first and second floor of our home. It’s been over a year now. The door was suppose to be replaced in August , the door was never ordered and I was never informed, then they said September 1st. Once again it never arrived and no one reached out to say anything. Now it’s supposed to arrived September 26. This is all because I have been the one running them down and calling. Now where I have reached my complete limit is when my son walking in the kitchen tripped on the LVP that was dug up and not replaced for a year now ended up in the emergency room with a laceration right above his eye needing stitches. They have also been notified of this. The complete and utter lack of eagerness and piss poor customer service from this company has me and my family beyond infuriated. Not one representative from Home Depot has contacted me back. They have shuffled this issue from management to management and I’m to the point where I will be seeking...
Read moreI have been shopping and renting with Home Depot for 20 years and never have I felt more disregarded and poorly treated than at this sad excuse for a tool rental facility. I booked a mini excavator online and at no time in the checkout process was I told I could not use a Uhaul pickup truck to move the trailer. I showed up after paying to rent the truck and was told by an associate I could not use it, even having her immediately state that it was NOT clear online. The truck I rented was brand new, insured, had the towing package, and there was no reason I could not have driven away with my rental. They claimed it was because it was 3rd party, yet their suggestion was that I have a friend come tow it, (ruining their Saturday morning plans in addition to mine?) so how is that not a third party??? I was furious, this cost me money and time and it is extremely hard to find equipment same day on a summer weekend. I asked for the manager and a dismissive and rude guy named ED could not have cared any less that I was in this situation. He dismissed me outright. He pointed out that he personally didn't do any of this to me so it was not his problem. What a disgusting way for a so called "manager" to avoid any responsibility. I have worked in retail, rentals, and sales for fifteen years. The fact that a guy with his attitude is made a manager is a testament to how poorly this location regards their customers. No attempt was made to help me remediate the situation. They didn't even offer to coordinate a delivery (which they offer) or provide any solutions except "Tough Luck." I wouldn't let this guy manage a lemonade stand. I actually felt bad for the woman trying to help me, because she KNEW the policy was unclear, she asked her manager to help with the situation, he wrote me off and then had her take care of cancelling my reservation like a COWARD. I was already into Home Depot for $1000 in materials and was about to throw down another $500 in rental. I easily spend $15-20,000 per year between Home Depot and Lowe's on my home remodel. Safe to say it's game over for my Home Depot visits. This location in particular does not care about it's customers or the way they are treated. I feel screwed over...
Read more2nd Update: Big thanks to the Fayetteville Home Depot who helped us get a refund and our tree! They saved our Christmas after this location ruined it. Also beware of their scam. They offer discounts if you apply for credit but a lot of times it cannot be combined with military discount. Problem is military discount is automatically added at checkout on your account so it’s not something you can remove and it was less than the advertised discount amount for applying for credit. Not sure how it’s legal to dupe the consumer like that.
Update: According to the main customer service the store never issued the refund. So now I have to drive an hour to get a refund on something they cancelled because no one seems to pick up the phone. Worst run Home Depot I have ever experienced in any state!
To begin Home Depot never gave me the credit promotion for signing up for a new card. Then this store cancelled my order without speaking to me because they said there was no availability for the item, even though I spoke to customer service via text and checked online showing availability prior to making the order.
Instead of having the Fayetteville store deliver or switching the delivery method to shipping they cancelled my order entirely making me lose all the coupons and gift card that I used for it because I no longer have the card. To top it off it will take 5-10 business days to get a refund which means I won’t be able to buy another Christmas tree until the week before Christmas!
This will be my children’s first Christmas without their dad that just deployed and now this will also be the first Christmas they won’t have a tree because I can’t have a refund sooner and the staff decided to just cancel my order without thinking how it would impact the customer. Home Depot customer service said they could do nothing since the store was the one who cancelled the order. Tried calling several times and no answer. Terrible service....
