Extra Space Storage — Local services in Gaines Charter Township

January 2024 edit. Changing from 5 stars to 1. They did not disclose the that the online rate was only for 3 months. After which they doubled the rent. Per the rental agreement "30) All terms in this Agreement are SUBJECT TO CHANGE upon thirty (30) days written notice to Customer, including but not limited to, and without limitation,MonthlyRentalCharges,latefeesandothercharges.UponreceivingnoticeofOperator’spendingchange(s)tothisAgreement,Customer may terminate this Agreement on or before the effective date of such change by giving Operator written notice within ten (10) days of the change taking effect.If Customer does not give such notice of termination, the change shall become effective on the date stated in Operator’s notice and shall thereafter apply to the occupancy hereunder, whether or not Customer has agreed to the change in writing"

I called the office and they said " well we sent out a letter but most people threw them away" .... I'm sorry what? I have done ALL communication electronicly why on earth would I look at a letter.... And that is what they want you to do.

This makes me feel the company is being disingenuous. Additionally as on today 1/16. The website still has no reference to the rate increasing. It heavelly advertises ONLY the $76 rate with no mention that it is a short deal. This will be taken to the BBB.

(OG review) Daisy was absolutely wonderful. I ended up changing my rental date when I went to pick up keys. I changed it to the current date and they made it so easy! I like the area is locked...

I've been with extra space storage for 3 years now hands down the property manager has been a lifesaver in more ways than one she's always been more than willing to work with me give me time when times were rough with my income and loss of job my child in the hospital extra space storage higher the right person for damn sure and a hole I've never been happier with any other storage facility I've rented from and I went through a couple dozen in the last 10 years so that being said extra space you have a hell of a property manager and a good person all in all a really good person Daisy's been awesome and every other person I've met that you guys are hired has been awesome as well he just Daisy's went above and beyond what anybody has to do she's definitely down to earth I've been a blessing for me and my 9 kids. This company is, hands down, the best storage facility in the NW Michigan area. I have been renting through Rich & his crew for the past year and a half and over this duration they have gone above and beyond to provide top quality customer service!!
