Staff and manager are extremely rude. First time I placed a group order for my work a couple of months ago, the person who answered the phone was very annoyed that I was calling in my order instead of using their online app. I explained that it was a work order and one of my coworkers has a gluten and dairy allergy so it would be easier to just call it in, and she reluctantly took my order. Today, I placed the group order online seeing how calling it in was so frowned upon the previous time, and it was a lengthy process because everything is not online. Couldn't find where you could just order pop. So after placing the order online I still had to call and add on the pops which they made us pay separate for. They couldn't even add it to the order. Sent our sales rep to go pick up the food and she specifically asked them if there was anything else, and the lady just seemed very short with her and annoyed she was asking. She brings the food back and it just so happened that they forgot to send her with ALL of the smoothies. Call Tropical Smoothie Cafe and she informs me that the smoothies print on a separate printer and they over looked it. Never even made them. HELLO! It's a smoothie cafe! How do you not check your "smoothie printer" for 10 different orders? Anyways, the lady informs me that I can either come in and pick the smoothies up or they can credit us for the smoothies and pick them up a different time. So I just requested a refund because at this point our lunch is almost over and there's no point in picking up the smoothies. The lady tells me that they can't issue a refund because... get this... I ordered online! So, if I wanted a refund I would have to go into their "support" section on the app and request a refund. Very inconvenient. I asked to speak to a manager and I was informed that I was speaking to one. Very unhelpful. In the end, went there to pick up the smoothies and they gave us 1 VIP card which is a free meal of smoothie. Asked for a few more since this was their mistake and multiple smoothies were forgotten, and again they acted like they were annoyed and inconveniencing them. Awful experiences. Read moreI order the supergreen Caesar from this location AT LEAST once a week (sometimes twice) I order online and pick up in store. I don't like the spinach so I remove the spinach and add romaine which costs like 90 cents. Which I wouldn't mind IF they actually included the extra romaine but 9/10 times they DON'T, so I'm not only paying for the spinach I have removed, but for the romaine I don't get. It ends up just being HALF the normal size!!! I don't normally complain so I haven't said anything but today was the last straw with Tropical when an employee was SO rude to me when I asked for extra Caesar dressing. I always order online and go inside to pick up. I always ask for an additional cup of dressing which has NEVER been an issue, until your employee Jay decided today that he had to charge me for that extra dressing. I wasn't even speaking to him when I asked another person, yet he comes running up to the register and said "I'm gonna have to charge you for that" I said "uhhh ok, I didn't bring my wallet in, but I don't have time to go back outside so nevermind" At that point he should have just said, no worries I'll give it to you just know next time it will be an additional cost! Instead he throws his hands up and goes to tell the kid (who I originally asked for the dressing) that "I don't wanna pay for the extra dressing" Like how rude !!!! They walk up to the cash register to take your order without saying a word and just looking at you. Today I saw a perfect example of how poor leadership trickles down to the entire team. They're very unprofessional. Manager became upset with me because I questioned if they completed my order correctly. She yelled at me. I yelled at her.
