Read moreWe have a few small Asian markets in Gainesville but nothing rivals Enson. I dare you to seek an ingredient you cannot find in these aisles. The fish at the seafood counter is pristine as are the meats at the butcher counter. Every size and shape of rice noodle you can imagine. Sauces, sauces, and more sauces. The produce section is quite extensive and most if not all of the items bear an English translation. Tons of snacks are available but I wish those products were labeled in English; either on the product wrapper or the shelf tag. The one place where Enson falls short is what's available at their kitchen for either dine in or take out. I ordered the Ultimate Bowl which was to contain tripe (which I love), fish, lamb slices, and tofu. I ordered it in the tomato broth with thick noodles. I was under the impression the noodles would be wheat but they were rice noodles. It took a very long time to prepare. Further to that, there were maybe 2 pieces of tripe, a couple of thinly sliced lamb rolls, and I don't even remember seeing any seafood. Fried tofu made up the bulk of solid items, and the tomato broth was tasteless. I had high hopes for this kitchen but was disappointed to see no baked or steamed baos offered hot from the kitchen or fresh in grocery. You can only find these and other baked goods in the frozen section. I'll definitely write this off to growing pains after having just opened, and perhaps I'll try the kitchen again in the future when more of it is operational. Till then, I'll stick to the grocery aisles where I can find every ingredient I need to make any of the Asian cuisines I love to...
Read moreLots of great items, found durian, jackfruit. It was cut weird, you’re buying more husk and skin than fruit. I wanted to have lunch but took so much time to get my food. Took over 30 minutes and the place was not busy. I ordered at the self serve kiosk. It took much longer than the app said after the order. And the app said several things were not available and they actually were available at the counter. My wife got her food and its 20 minutes later, i am still waiting. The app said her food wasn’t ready, still preparing as my order, 136 and 138, and yet she has already finished her meal and I am still waiting. Just spent 50 dollars on groceries and 50 on lunch. Not happy with this app or the service!!! The app never told us the food even was ready. It still says processing. On the kiosk there was no option for a tea for 2 bucks if you ordered a combo. By the time we saw the option, we’d already paid. I donno if I’ll eat here again or...
