Zero Degrees — Restaurant in Gainesville

This is a long read, but I wanted to capture it all! First, the ice cream tastes no different than any other ice cream place. The prices are high and the mix ins were minimal, but I guess you're paying for the experience. In my opinion, it's not worth it, but to each their own. Okay, now the rant! The worker, a young male, gave my family a very bad vibe. For starters, my 3 year old grabbed a keychain to show me and the worker immediately tells him, "I'm going to have to ask you to put that back." I know my face said it all because I was dumbfounded he just said that to him. First of all, the Keychains are for sale, so I'm sure they get picked up/ moved around multiple times a day. Second, my son was just holding it in the air to show me. As a parent, I took his comment personally and was ready to take my business elsewhere. However, I had other people with me, so we stayed. Next issue, I took my kids to the bathroom and there was hardly any soap in the bottle. So I ask the young man if they had any soap in the back because the bathroom was almost out. He turned around and grabbed a (different labeled) bottle of soap from the counter behind him and headed towards the bathroom. A little while later I took my son back to the bathroom to get the ice cream of his hands and I saw the SAME soap bottle as before, almost completely filled up with clear liquid and bubbles at the top. This man filled the soap bottle up with WATER! It was absolutely without doubt water consistency. I walked out the bathroom and told my husband and aunt about it. My aunt then asked him if he replaced the soap and he responded with, Yes, I just put some in there. So gross to think that the worker feels it's sanitary to only wash with water and a hint of bubbles. Last issue we had was when we were about to leave and I asked my daughter to take my son to potty since we were 45 minutes from home. They go in the bathroom and after a couple minutes I told my husband to go knock on the door. So he did and told them to hurry up. While he was still outside the door waiting, the worker came from behind the counter and knocked on the door and said "if you don't open the door, I'll have to call the president." I think he was trying to be funny, but this was so unnecessary and inappropriate! I don't need a stranger knocking on the bathroom door and telling my children to open the door. We decided to take our 3v3 soccer team here for a little treat before going to Nationals this week, there was 14 of us.

After waiting in line for 10 minutes, they started to take our groups order. After taking six of the people in our groups order. The two gentleman proceed to tell the rest of our group they are no longer taking orders.

We then ask them to please give us a refund that it would be very rude of us to get our ice cream and the have rest of our group have to sit there are watch us. we would take our business elsewhere.

The two gentlemen proceeded to tell us sorry they cannot give refunds, mind you we hadn't received our ice cream yet.

We told them to call their manager, that we demand a refund. The two young men, then told us that they could not call their manager.

After getting very upset, we the tell them that we would get the police involved. They then refunded us our money.

Another group that had came in behind us, and had been waiting was very upset as well, as they were celebrating a birthday party and got told they wouldn't take their orders either.

As we were leaving another large group we're approaching the door, and we had told them they were closed and refused to take anymore orders.

This placed missed out on an easy $300 dollar's from all of grouping.

To the two gentlemen who were working tonight you were very unprofessional and what you did was wrong. It was 9:15 and your hours clearly stated you were open until 10pm.

But you know what we would have missed out on the wonderful service we had up the street at yougurtology, and we saved ourselves $15 dollars,...

This place get one star it would get nothing if it let me. Let’s see where to start, lights off soon as you come in, chairs old and ripped up, and the white chocolate chip drops was old and taste like throw up. I took a bite of my cup and immediately spit it out. I went up to the front and told them it taste like throw up and SHOWED her the white chocolate chip she told me I don’t know the difference between a chocolate chip and granola. Really lady? For one I didn’t order granola or white chocolate chips I just said give me the strawberry shortcake I think it was number 2 or something idk. I said listen to me it’s old and taste like throw up she starts mocking me saying oh kkkkkk. SMH pissed me off so fast. So I throw it away and her face and walk to the table. She go get her coworker and tell him to try it in their language not knowing that my daughter is self taught in their language so I knew everything they were saying. He tried it and makes a disgusting face and spit it out! I said I told you it was bad. He ran to the back and washed his mouth out. But the taste just will not leave my mouth I’m telling you it was so nasty like throw up. She finally comes to me and say im sorry im sorry I said okkkkkk as she did to me and rolled my eyes.
