To get to Peytons, you go into the Sweet Magnolia’s (SM) entrance. The pizza shop is past the SM counter and the art gallery, further into the building. The kitchen, including the large wood-fire oven, is openly visible from the counter, and service was kind. I’ve ordered delivery and pickup. The workers mistook my pizza order for another and had to remake it, but they were very kind and quickly made the correct pizza for me. Both delivery and pickup pizzas were fresh. The dough is tougher/chewier than my preferred soft crusts, but it’s reminiscent of sourdough pizza crust if you’re into that. The mozzarella is fresh, not pre-shredded. The sauce tastes just slightly sweet, and there’s plenty sauce on the pizza. The pepperoni isn’t very spicy, which could be good to some. The Calabrian chili is also mild but delicious. The pizzas are large, and given the location on the square, pricing makes sense. If you want a thin, glutinous (in texture), and fermented crust, go here instead of, say, Atlas, where you’ll find...
Read moreThey are TINY🤏, it's way overpriced for amount u get, quality over quantity is not always good. There is a place called atlas that has the classic overloaded North GA style pizzas with thick crust but to much parm, but there huge and good priced , you won't get a classic new York style with atlas, but it also won't be the size of a small and priced like an extra large. And if your gonna have one size pizza just go big or go home and price it normal. It's not bad but not very good unless it's straight out of the oven I assume, i also grabbed a Papa johns pepperoni otw home bc everyone had to eat that night. And honestly id rather just go with Papa johns or even atlas, id take it over mellow mushroom anyday though. Thanks for the tiny pizzas made for Bill Gates to buy. Screw all those places and just get a Chicago deep dish or a tomato pie if u really need...
Read moreI've been to other Peyton's locations and really enjoyed the food. However, this one has a SUPER limited menu compared to the others. Other than that, I wasn't super impressed with the service I recieved. The girl who worked up front was really sweet, but my pizza order came out totally wrong. I ordered a create your own with 2 toppings, and I was given a BBQ pizza which was not even close to what I ordered. When I let them know, instead of being made correctly it came back with my toppings thrown on top. It took a very long time for us to receive our food too, I'd understand if it was a busy day-but c'mon, when its a rainy Thursday and there's a handful of people? I don't see this place lasting long with Atlas and Mellow Mushroom...
