We came in last night for the first time and had the most delicious meal and really exceptional service. We tipped our waiter generously. We were looking forward all day today to coming in again for supper because we wanted to try other things on the menu. The place was understandably packed. We waited for a table and were shuffled to several before we finally got one. The staff were all flustered, annoyed and overwhelmed. In the middle of the table shuffle we asked the orange haired waitress if it would be better if we just placed a take out order since she was uncertain whether we could sit at the table we had been offered. She abruptly and rudely told us to not to take up a table and place an order inside. Inside we were offered two other tables and shuffled from one to the next for what reason I am not certain. In total there four tables before we were finally allowed to stay. Hardly welcoming.
Our waitress (a version of Janine Garofolo) was as overwhelmed and unpleasant as everyone else in that shift. With the exception of a man named John who was doing his best to quell the storm and provide help wherever he saw a need.
In the meantime, we finally placed our order at 7:01 pm - about 30 minutes after starting the table shuffle. Our iced teas tasted like bleach. I alerted our waitress who told us to pick something else. Didn’t offer but pretty well ordered a command. At 7:39 (39 minutes after placing our order) I realized the table who was seated after us already had their drinks, appetizers and pizza on the table. I couldn’t get our waitresses attention so I asked John if he was the manager. He is not. But he did ask what the issue was. I explained that I thought maybe there was a problem and he went to check. A purple haired woman followed up by identifying herself as the manager and scolding me for asking about our food and pointing out very nastily that they were extremely busy and we could take a back seat. I was not upset. But obviously there was a problem. She was foul and rude. Clearly there was a problem. Then minutes later our appetizers arrived bad when the table seated after us had finished their salads, then pizzas, our salad sandwiches finally appeared.
Clearly the staff was overwhelmed and no doubt they were busy but they also were not doing their job which is a lot of the reason the restaurant was offering such terrible service all night. If they had been putting in the effort, they wouldn’t have been overwhelmed. I am sitting here typing this and 17 minutes ago our waitress said she was being our check. She still hadn’t brought it. I just asked John.
Shameful.

Read moreSome of the best pizza in area, but rudest waitstaff EVER!!! Will put tip on your bill sometimes whether you tip or NOT . And don't complain about anything no matter how respectfully or they will put water on pan in place of oil, making for soggy pizza. Wouldn't normally complain, but this happened 3 x,s. Last time waitress didn't get to us for 40 mins. After drink order, but repeatedly went to friends table; When I asked for lemon for my water, she froze for a time ,rolled eyes and bumped chair on way in. Again no one for another 20 something mins., but saw her inside chatting with friends .Would have left but friend was hungry by now!! When she came to take order finally other table called her over, and she went back in. Another waitress asked if we were ready,so placed order.Keep in mind we've been here now for over 2hrs. Got food undercooked, friend made clear she doesn,t like sausage, sausage on both sides, and for some strange reason there were a few stray peppers under toppings. Got bill and waitress finally stands over us more than a few seconds, rolls eyes again, grabs my plate with 2 slices on it still, and says guess your not gonna tip; proceeds to go away. Keep in mind that we have ALWAYS tipped excellently. I have waited tables, managed restaurant before among other customer relations so I know how some are really bad patrons, but not the cars here. Asked for my pizza taken away why we were still eating, was replaced by 2 slices for us; manager also discounted without asking. Came back to give 1 more chance, crust soggy again, and went to pay and leave . Had tip added on
Read moreI usually love Atlas and never have something to say negative about that place. The pizza and service is top notch- really but today was a way off. The power went out during the middle of the day and I had already ordered my pizza and it came out before the power went out. When it came time to pay- the server asked if I could put my card information on the paper and he promised it would be safe and he would charge me once the power came back on. I started to do that but another couple next to me felt uneasy about that and I’m thinking “yeah- that’s true. This is my debit card information so if anybody got a hold of it that isn’t supposed to that’s all my money wiped out and I’m traveling internationally next week.” He then began to say if you feel unsatisfied with the service, then we comp your bill. It’s not that I’m unsatisfied with the service or the restaurant, it’s just how can you ask somebody to put their card information on a piece of paper and you don’t know for sure what’s happening with that? That doesn’t seem safe at all. If the power is off for the whole time you are having lunch- aren’t you going to want to comp everyone’s bill anyways? There weren’t that many people in the restaurant when this happened. It was just a little strange and definitely wasn’t safe what they were asking. It just takes one crazy person sneaking in the back to get those papers and your life could be ruined from that. The whole square was out of power- perfect time for criminals to steal things and get away with it because the cameras aren’t...
