The service was quite slow when we visited although the place was somewhat busy. We visited their other location on archer road a while back and weren’t impressed at all, and I really wanted to like this one, since we love Thai food! But we were less than impressed with the food itself. Pad Thai (two of my kids got it as they love pad Thai and have had it many times, including authentic one in Thailand several times) both with beef and chicken had a really weird taste and mostly just overcooked noodles, there were not many of the other toppings at all. My husband and I got pad eggplant with extra ginger (that they didn’t tell us in advance that they would charge extra $2/plate for extra ginger seasoning, but ok) and there was very little of the actual eggplant or the Beef (mostly the “extra ginger” on the plate as you can see in the picture). Thai iced tea was good. They also brought us Thai doughnuts at the end since we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Those were pretty good. The worst part was the soup - slimy clear liquid with a few leaves of spinach that were swimming in there, and the fact that they charged us for a 5th meal that we didn’t order but after I pointed it out, they took it off. So if you decide to go, check your receipt carefully. I wouldn’t really recommend this restaurant or the one on archer road. They are both below average.

We were driving through Gainesville and needed to grab dinner before everything closed. We walked on 25min before closing and they were very accommodating. Pad Pring Pork had great flavor although we wished it would have been spicer considering it was ordered HOT (it tasted more like mild, perhaps should have said Thai Hot?) The Veggie Massaman Curry was tasty and standard flavors. The jasmine rice was served in heart shapes that were super cute. The satay chicken is a go to for our kids, they enjoyed it and the peanut sauce The dumplings were their favorite. Order a pot of jasmine tea as well - it's just bagged tea most places carry the loose tea which has stronger flavor, nonetheless passable. They brought the kids some kids plates which were cute. The establishment was clean and the bathrooms are beautifully decorated and spotless as well. Would swing by again if in area.

3.5 Service was fast - took my order quickly. The ONE TIME I don’t ask for the receipt and my order came out not wrong but with additional meal - that I paid for. Thought the price was a tad high but inflation, you know? Suppose it’s a better problem to have than driving away one meal short. Raise your hand if that’s happened. So- I’ve NEVER had curry served in a foil boat inside a styrofoam meal container. Not necessarily bad just different. It’s also a clever way to reduce serving size. Not a lot of “gravy”. That said, I’m just used to larger portions of curry- don’t necessarily need it. Flavor was good. Spice level good (for me). I was told the pad Thai was decent. Same deal with the foil boat. Lesson learned- check your receipt- check your order.

Update - (Aug 23, 2022) This place serves competent Thai food for a very good price. They're filling the place.

My most recent visit, my order was freshly made. The ginger had just been cut, such that it was still crisp and sharp. Maybe this is the reason their meal service is only a couple of hours. They want the time to prepare the ingredients fresh. Maybe.

They responded to my original review by changing their hours. Weekends are the same. Weekdays are the same. That might have been a happy ending of the story, but now I get glares from some of the serving staff, who evidently are responsible for these reviews.

Sigh. What can we do?

For context of my earlier review, to date I have attempted to visit about a dozen times and been successful about 8 times. And if I keep visiting at reasonable times and the restaurant isn't open, I have been consistently calling out businesses who don't understand they need to be open to get business.

I wish I can write a review on the food, but the issue hasn't been that.

Original Review - (June 2022) I'll be up front. I'm not in a good mood this very moment so this is a bit unfair to them. But they're partly responsible, so they deserve some of it. I eat lunch at about the same time daily. Most people do. The time comes. I think of a place. I go there. Today when I went they weren't open. Yes. Their hours are posted. You know what, I don't have the energy to memorize lunch hours for every day of the week for every place I visit. Like, I don't keep note cards. I don't think we, customers, should. I can count three times I've tried them and it was one of their days with odd hours. Like, on...

The 1 Star was for the quality of the food. Our waiter, the only male and possibly the owner, was one of the rudest waiters we have ever experienced. There were 4 of us and he would hurl snide insults when any questionw were asked of the menu. If one were to ask what vegetables are added to the Red Curry, he would say, "I don't know. Mixed vegetable - whatever the cook wants to add." When we asked if the Dumplings had a vegetarian variation, he said, " Menu says pork and so pork. Why you ask if it is vegetarian?" He clearly did not enjoy waiting on people and was rude to several other clients at other tables as well - an equal opportunity insulter for sure.

We would add that this is not a place we will visit unless the quality of service matches that of the food. The food alone is not sufficient for us to experince the 'joy' of being waited by the rude male waiter in this establishment.

Have to add that the young women who waited on us on a previous occasion...
