I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding a recent experience I had at your store concerning the purchase of a handgun. On January 21,2025 ,I presented my Florida driver’s license, Florida concealed weapon permit, and federal credentials while attempting to complete this transaction. To my dismay, I was informed by your staff that I could not purchase the handgun due to Florida's three-day waiting period for customers without a concealed weapon permit.

It is important to note that according to Florida law, specifically Article I, Section 8(b) of the Florida Constitution and Section 790.0655, F.S., individuals holding a concealed weapon permit are exempt from this mandatory waiting period. The law clearly states that the waiting period does not apply to those who possess a concealed weapons license. Additionally, the law does not impose a waiting period for the purchase of long guns, and a person with a concealed weapons license is not subject to any mandatory waiting period imposed by the county.

Despite providing all necessary documentation, I was incorrectly informed that I could not complete my purchase. This misinformation not only caused me frustration but also led to an unnecessary delay in my ability to acquire a firearm legally.

I would like to know why I was given incorrect information regarding my eligibility to purchase a handgun and what steps you will take to ensure that your staff is better informed about the laws governing firearm purchases in Florida. It is essential that your employees are knowledgeable about these regulations to prevent similar situations from arising...

I went in today and was extremely offended and left without buying anything. Me and my husband were shopping for an AR and my husband found a Smith & Wesson with a scope. My husband knew I favored S&W so he showed it to me. There's NO room to even stand and check out a firearm in this store. (Seriously ridiculous) So I was holding the rifle and took literally two steps out of the way down an aisle right by the counter. I did this so I wasnt blocking the other customers trying to navigate the cramped up dump. A employee then says in this rude tone loudly "Maam you gotta bring that back up here!" I immediately set his gun back on the counter because I was shocked and embarrassed. His tone was very accusatory and loud. I wanted to leave immediately. My husband talked me into ignoring the employees ignorance and rudeness so I went back to the counter with my ID and the employee tells me hes not selling the rifle to me because my husband picked it out. He said that it was an ATF rule. That's fine but seeing as how im not a mind reader prior notice of these stupid rules would have gained them a sale of over $1000. There loss. I bought my firearm from a dealer who treated me with respect and who could afford adequate space to conduct business. These people are rude and unprofessional. Go elsewhere. Nothing wrong with this store except everything Guns and Ammo is 20-40% above market price. They have so many guns piled up on top of each other there was no way to actually see them. They are not clearly labeled, new or used, price, or even what it was.

Overall I liked the store and the employees were very friendly except.....

One criticism I have to bring up. It bothered me that an employee (older man) was sitting behind the counter in the back eating in front of everyone and talking with his mouth full. I looked up and he was sloshing food around with his mouth open and asking me if I needed help.. of course I’m going to say no. Go eat your food in a break room or out of the customers view. Also have some manners and chew with your mouth closed please.

Overall I’ve taken the time to address these things not to bash them but in a constructive way so that maybe the owner will address them so that the store can be better.

In a nut shell they’ve got some generic basic guns just like every other place in the United States but All those guns are over priced. Looking forward to when they have a big sale or going out of business sale. Wish I had a picture to show everyone but maybe I will take a few next...
