Deli Max — Restaurant in Gainesville

I have gotten philly cheese steaks here in the past with no issues. However today was enough to make me want to leave a review. The person attending us acted as if we interrupted her for wanting to order food. We got our orders in and wait, once the food came out we realized how small the wing were. SUPER SMALL!!!! $27 for two wing meals. Chicken was over cooked and so crispy the meat was dry. Our two whopping pieces of celery were yellow and were actually the end of the stalk were it splits into leaves. When we asked the older lady (who I assume runs the place) if we could get decent celery literally smiled as if she knew what she had sent out was no good. I stop in here every time that I am in the Lake shore Mall.As a rule, fast food isn't my cup.of tea. This reminds me of what we use to find as " Snack Bars", through our years of travelling our wonderful country.Basic red chairs and simple tables and clean.Bathroom available. Decent menu and no old food sitting around.Chicken,Wings, nice big French fries, Gyros with 3 choices of meat...veal is my favorite,Hamburgers and Subs. Deli Max is a pretty good place to stop & grab a bite. It is a little deli, so there's no atmosphere to speak of. Wait times can also be a little long, as it's really the only place to eat at the mall.

They make a good gyro - not great, but the best I've found in Gainsville. Their Philly cheesesteak is excellent, as well.

The staff are friendly, bilingual, and eager to keep customers happy.
