If you are buying anything age-appropriate as in cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol etc Do Not Let them scan your ID. There is no reason they need to have your driver's license number, your height, your weight, your address and all your critical information to verify age. They can verify the age by looking at the birthdate on the ID, match the face to the person presenting the ID and Make a determination that the person is old enough. I'm not saying the owner of this business or the management of this business is selling critical information but once Your ID gets scanned by a computer It's possible for all that critical information to get into the wrong hands.
