I bought a fishing pole on August 2nd to use on a vacation with my family at our cabin. We properly loaded the fishing line and when we tried to cast, the line immediately tangled. We are experienced with fishing and know we used it properly and assumed it must be defective.
We are on vacation and didnāt have time to get back to the store until today the 5th (3 days later). We tried to return the pole and the manager instead told us he had fixed it and he canāt take it back because itās been used.
He told me the quality of this product is not good, and if I wanted a fishing pole that would work, I should have bought a different brand like the Ugly Stick.
He then suggested if it breaks again to bring it back in and they would fix it again. I told him I donāt have time to bring it back every time we cast, and we live 3 hours away so thatās not feasible for a fishing pole.
He then again said itās not a high quality fishing pole and itās expected to get tangled even with the first use and we shouldāve bought a different one.
Iām disappointed they were unable to stand behind their product, and wish they wouldnāt sell something they know off the bat wonāt...

Before I could even get to the front door an Ace employee in the lot threatened to tow my truck and trailer. He said its hour parking only. I pointed out the signs that said parking for customers of Ace and Mikes Grocery and that the signs didn't have a time limit. He got visibly upset and told me it didn't matter and that I was abusing the system and he would have me towed no matter what I bought. He was a complete power tripping jerk to me and my family. I visit Bear Lake multiple times a year and have generally had good experiences in Garden City. The people there realize its a town that lives or dies from tourism and treat you respectfully. In turn I always treat people with respect as well as I know the service industry can be rough. I've never been so disrespected. This was the worst experience I've had, anywhere. I will never shop at that Ace again. The store is nice, but I will drive to Logan before going in...

The very next morning we came to buy some sleds. We spend $250 on sleds just to find that the sleds were defective only 30-40 minutes later. We returned to the store within 2 hours to return the defective sleds and exchange them for some nicer ones. No returns were allowed, no store credit, etc. despite the receipts stating that there is a 90 day return/refund policy. I had spent $1,500 across two days here & customer service collapsed for a $100 issue. Fairly upsetting.
Wish I could leave a stronger review seeing as they are a solo supplier/shop of their kind in the area⦠but I felt it was important to share our experience. Buy once, if you are hesitant or worried that you may need to return an item, purchase it from another store. The returns & refund process will not go well here - it seems that there isnāt one unless itās an āaceā...
