I've been going to Bear Lake ever year for the last 15 years. This has been the place where we always go to get our shakes. In the past I would say that they had the best shakes around but the last couple of years we've been going up there the shakes haven't been that good. This last time we got a muti flavored shake and it was barely mixed. All of the toppings were on the top and half way down was just vanilla shake. It wasn't even mixed at the bottom. Server has never really been that great here. The employees are not that nice and it took awhile to get our food. Shakes came out first then the food. By the time the food came out the shakes were almost gone. This last time we got food also. I got a double cheese burger and shared it with my wife. It was ok. I've had better. It was a good size but just ok. My boy got the chicken nuggets and they reminded me of nuggets from McDonald's. Just that precessed chicken paste stuff. My other but got the chicken strips. Those were actually pretty good. A good size, juicy and real chicken. There is a little inside eating area with a few tables and then more seating outside at picnic tables on the grass to the side. I will probably still keep going back in the hopes the shakes get...

Really slow ordering process (only one person taking the orders...took about 30 minutes just to get to the window to order). My husband ordered 2 corn dogs, 1 plain cheeseburger, 1 large fry, 2 extra fry sauces, lots of ketchup packets, and 2 raspberry shakes. The raspberry shakes were ready really quickly, but my husband was there alone waiting in the heat for the rest of the order (I was with our two boys at the hotel). When he said to the employee that he didn't want them yet because they would melt by the time his other food was ready the employee just said they were ready now so he had to take them. Maybe the employee taking the order could ask if the shakes needed to wait for the rest of the order. My husband got back to the hotel with melted shakes, only 1 corn dog, only 1 extra fry sauce and 2 ketchup packets (2 ketchup packets doesn't seem like a lot of extra ketchup like he asked for).

Long wait, employees didn't pay attention to the order, and the order was wrong. Not happy with...

This place deserves no stars, first off the order taker wasn't very friendly with her additude, and didn't know the menu (which she should). Then their misleading menu showed "Combo" with fish & chips under it, along with some specialty hambergers, but we were informed after paying that those didn't include a drink or fries??? Um a combo is a main dish, side dish and drink! It should not be labeled as combo and should be labeled as à la carte! Next came the cost which for 4 meals with 4 shakes and 2 drinks was $92 which is freaking ridiculous... We got our shakes first, 2 raspberry, 1 raspberry cheesecake, and one blueberry. Only one of these didn't taste like watered down vanilla, we did complain about the blueberry and they were kind enough to remake it and color difference did justice. I'll give them credit for the fish but the fries and cheeseburger was disgusting. Save your money and go to the place down the street or spend the same at a fancy restaurant and get your...

Saw a long line on a Sunday, which lasted several hours, so I thought it must be amazing. The next day is hardly a line, so we go to the world famous raspberry shake. I'm not sure why world famous. It was ok, nothing extraordinary, and we got 2, and they had different mixtures. Mine was a little tart while my wife's a better balance of sweetness. They were friendly and the location is great with views of the lake. Fries were ok, and onion rings cooked well. Value was decent, not expensive, and for what I received, it was priced right. I will say that shakes are something you can use a straw to drink. These were thick and served with a spoon. Much closer to soft serve ice cream. It was smooth and blended well.

There are only two burger places open on Sunday and so we came to Hometown Drive In on our way out of town. There was quite a long line without any markers for distancing. In addition, not a single employee was wearing a mask at any time. Not the cashier, not the cooks, not the lady at the pick up window, no one. I knocked off a star because of that. On to the food, the fries were super crispy, the raspberry shake was creamy and fresh and tasted delicious. The hamburger was juicy and cooked very well. There was an entire open air seating area with benches to eat your food at. Overall the food was on point but the covid precautions are non existent.
