I was flying alone creating art in boise and posting on instagram and other social media, when i realized i needed to be around other artists. I forgot how i found out about the Cat, but i was welcomed by open arms. I quickly found out that I didn’t need to fear that what i created was not good enough or up to somebody else’s ideas of what art is supposed to be. I have access at the Cat to teachers who are excellect, experienced and professional. Whether someone is new to art and wants to learn that way, or has been a creator for a while and wants to brush-up or try something new, it’s at the Cat. Read moreI attended the figure drawing session last night for the first time and was happy to find a group of like-minded artists, not only that share a love for Art, but also many of whom I felt I could learn something from. It is always good to place yourself in an environment where you are not only supported, but also challenged (figure drawing is Nature's way of keeping you humble?) The session was run in a professional and disciplined manner. I came here for a painting class and shopped a bit at the gift shop right before it started. I will definitely be participating in more classes and coming by for the gift shop, the gift shop has art from so many local artists here and I just love seeing the community in artistic form.
