If I could give negative 100 stars I would. I am typically not confrontational, and I try to avoid giving retail or service workers a hard time, as I know how it feels to be on the receiving end of upset customers. Iâve sold clothes here before without any issues, but itâs never been my go-to place because of their pricing system. While I donât expect to get full price for my clothes, the way they resell barely-worn, name-brand items at such high prices compared to what they pay sellers is egregious. Unfortunately for them, the bad review Iâm leaving isnât even about that. My most recent experience was so infuriating that Iâd be shocked if anyone could stay calm in that situation. After this, Iâll never sell to them again, and Iâll be sharing my experience with others, advising them to avoid doing business with this store.
On 3/20/2025, I dropped off a bag of clothes and heard nothing back from the store. Concerned, I went in today, 3/21/2025, to inquire about the status, only to be told that someone else had taken my bag of clothes. I requested to speak with a manager, and when she came up, she apologized and explained that the employee working yesterday had texted the customer who took my bag, but had yet to hear back. They said they would let me know once the customer made contact. When I asked where to go from here, they said that if they couldn't reach the customer or if I didnât hear from her, the next step would be to contact the police. This is an absurd suggestion, especially considering they, in essence, are the ones who mishandled the situation. To make matters worse, they told me they had given that customer my contact information and had texted me her contact information without either of our consent. This alone is unacceptable and, in my opinion, a violation of both my privacy and hers. The customer texted me, claiming she had accidentally donated my bag of clothes with the rest of her items that didnât sell, not realizing my clothes were in there as well. She even went so far as to return to the thrift store where she had donated her items to retrieve mine, not knowing which items were mine. She reached out to confirm if the items she retrieved were mine. Some of the clothes were indeed mine, but others were not, and several items I had initially brought in to sell were missing. Not only did the store give away my bag of clothes to someone else, but they took accountability for the incident when they spoke to that customer, yet blamed her for their mistake in their text to meâwithout offering any compensation. Furthermore, they never attached a contact slip to my bagâsomething they are supposed to do. Without it, they couldnât even offer me money for the items they did take, as they didnât have my information on file and had no way of knowing what items they took. It is the store's responsibility to rectify this situation, and they should compensate me for my loss in cash, not store credit. The mishandling of my items, the violation of my privacy, no customer service or professionalism, and the lack of proper training of their staffâwho should have known how to handle this situation appropriatelyâshould all be met with appropriate restitution, not excuses or further delays.
OH! & ironically, they arenât even accredited with the Better Business Bureau. I...

I took in 40 luxury brand purses and wallets, along with name-brand clothing, and luxury âď¸brand shoes to sell at Runway Fashion. I received a text saying they had gone through my items and that I could stop by for payment.
When I arrived, I was immediately confused when the employee told me they "donât accept little girlâs clothing"âwhich I never brought in. Then, she listed the few items they were interested in purchasing:
1969 Made in Italy Nappa Leather Knee-High Heels (with original red bag and boot inserts)
Noche Leopard Print Ankle Boot High Heels
Patagonia Shorts (with original tags)
Dooney & Bourke Purse and Wallet
A Brand-New Red Dress (with tags)
Patagonia Jacket
After listing these high-quality items, she offered me only $19 for everything. I was shocked. I asked if she had the right person and reminded her of their policyâ40% payout for luxury brands and 20% for non-luxuryâbut she just stared at me and repeated that's what they offered that's what they feel that it's worth "Take it or leave it."
I refused the offer because I felt completely lowballed and disrespected. Then, she pointed to my remaining items, all thrown into black and white trash bags, completely disregarding how I had carefully stuffed each purse to maintain its shape.
Later, I realized they had given me another customerâs bag by mistake, which I have made contact with the customer to return her items. Runway never thanked me for getting back with them and returning the other customers items they didn't care there was no appreciation behind it any of it. when I started sorting through my own items, I found that: Some of my luxury purses, wallets, and sandals were missing etc
My clothes were crumpled and shoved into a bag, despite being brought in clean, folded, and well-maintained.
They refused to respond when I contacted them about my missing items.
To make things worse, instead of taking accountability, they told another customer I "stole" her bag, when in reality, they had texted me admitting it was their mistake!
Bottom line: This place does not respect customers or their items. They demand that sellers bring in items cleaned, folded, and in top condition, yet they return them carelessly tossed into trash bagsâor not at all! They will lowball you, lose your items, and then refuse to help.
DO NOT take your stuff here unless you want to risk losing your valuables...
Read moreMay 3, 2021 @ 5:40P I decided to stop by and sell a small bin of clothing. Upon approaching the door I noticed a handwritten sign that read âwe will not be doing anymore buys this evening - managementâ. I continued into the store where I met with the rudest, condescending, and downright degrading employee.. she loudly and curtly asked me if I had seen the sign to which I said I did but I was just asking if I could drop off I didnât need my âbuyâ completed tonight I would be happy to come back. She rolled her eyes and sighed and said âthatâs not what we normally do but okâ appropriate response from a decent employee âunfortunately, we canât keep items Overnight without the buys being completed but if youâd come back tomorrow weâd be happy to helpâ instead I walked around for a few minutes while she helped others. She called me over and ripped the sheet of paper for my name and told me to fill it out still being aggressive and rude. She told me whenever I get it done Iâll call. I explained I work a full time job and would be by after or the following day at which point she blew up and exclaimed thatâs not allowed I MUST RETURN within this specified amount of time. I asked her why she felt the need to be rude to me since I walked in the door? I told her it wasnât necessary. She needs major training in communication skills. I told her since she had been rude and condescending I would happily take my belongings and leave the store. To which I picked them up as she began to profusely apologize. AS A BUSINESS OWNER ISNT THE GOAL TO BE BUSY? TO MAKE MONEY? you literally have an employee who is stressed out about sorting used clothes and taking it out on your customers. Iâll never step foot in your store again. You can keep your little $30-40.. I rather donate this stuff to goodwill. I couldnât believe it. I didnât deserve to be verbally attacked she couldâve used her words like a big girl and checked her attitude problem. An absolutely embarrassing representation of...
