Maggie Thai kitchen has been open for a while and today I finally got the opportunity to go. I have my usual Thai places but you won't know if you're missing out on something if you don't try it.

Walking into this place, I noticed how cute and green everything is! The decor, the venue and all the plants added such a fun vibe to this space. I loved the mirrors on the wall. The plush green decor in the front entrance are charming pieces to look at when you walk in. I love how bright it is as well! A lot of thought was put into decorating this space. Everything is so cute!

My server greeted me and sat me pretty quickly. I knew what I wanted so as soon as I got my drink I ordered my dinner. Tonight I got the pad see ew with fried tofu. My go to noodle dish when I order Thai food.

My noodles came out hot! It was beautiful with all the gai lan, carrots and tofu. The gai lan (Chinese brocolli) was vibrant in color and crunchy. The carrots were cut to look like flowers. I love that detail. The regular brocolli was slightly bitter but still edible. The flavor of the pad see ew was good! It did favor on the saltier side. And unfortunately I didn't like the tofu. I have been spoiled with other Thai places that have amazing fried tofu. I like tofu that's fried golden on the outside but soft in the inside. The tofu they served tonight was really dense and not really fried. I didn't like the dense texture of the tofu so I ended up picking out all the tofu. I appreciate that they gave me generous amount of the tofu. My dish would have been complete if I would have liked the tofu.

I'm happy I got to try this local joint out. Service was great, food was prepared fresh and venue is comfortable. I'm kinda bummed that the pad see ew wasn't a winner for me but I do look forward to coming back and trying other items...

Maggie Thai is every bit deserving of 5 stars. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was clear that we were going to have a nice and relaxing family meal. The aesthetics were very inviting, bright and so fresh. The friendly host welcomed us and we were seated right away. Making a reservation made this seamless and all the more relaxing. We ordered Panang Salmon Curry, Pad Se Ew with pork and Chicken Pad Thai. Everything was exploding with flavor and truly took us to the southern Asia borders. The Pad Thai was especially juicy and dynamic. My new favorite dish is the Salmon Panang Curry. The salmon was glistening, perfectly pink and not over cooked. I usually love a Tom Kha and Red Curry. The Panang is similar, a sweeter perfect creamy nutty combination with red curry vibes. Chef Auntra brought us her papaya salad, recommending it to side the Pad Thai, which was over the top delicious and the perfect tangy sweet element to our meal. Just getting to meet her was so special to our experience. Other patrons nearby seemed excited to see the beautiful person that cooked their food too. She is quite talented and has so much heart in her cooking. We recommend getting the 2 star spice level if you are experienced in eating Thai cuisine- it's a good starting point being one step above mild but not quite medium. Portion size was spot on as well. The servers and wait staff all worked collectively together which is why I recommend dining here in person. We were well cared for and I never had to ask for water refills. We ended our lunch with their coconut ice cream atop black rice pudding dessert. It was perfect for the 3 of us to share and the best I'd had. I have already recommended Maggie Thai to our nearby family and I can't wait to return. This IS the best Thai restaurant you will find in the...

My best friend and I are truckers, so while we are on the road we like to Google search and find random new places to eat … where we can also fit our big rig!! With a quick search and a craving for noodles, we stumbled across this wonderful gem, and was super grateful for the experience!! The atmosphere, and hospitality were 10s clear across the board!! The owners were kind and chatted us up like they knew us for years while we sat at the bar … yes, there is beer and alcohol too!! We found out Maggie is actually their daughter who can often be found there doing her homework!! There was cool jazz playing and the highlight of the whole experience was the fantastic, authentic food!! We tried the Spring Rolls, Shrimp, and Pad Thai, which was just scratching the surface of the huge menu, which even offered vegan options!! The portions were big, the wait to eat was perfect timing, it was cooked to order and hot, I was full and even blessed with leftovers … oh, the Thai Tea was super’yummy!! This place opened in October (soft open was September) and I pray it will be a major staple to the Boise area for many years to come!! We promised to aim our truck toward the front door every chance we get, and I truly hope that is often and soon!! 10/10...

Hi thank you for reaching out. We ordered the Penang curry with beef. The curry was thin and didn’t seem to have the depth of flavors I’m use to. No peanut, no lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce etc., was just coconut milk flavored. Could just had been the curry didn’t have time together and meld the flavors together. we ordered it with beef, which was flat, unseasoned and didn’t seem part of the dish as a whole, just strips of meat tossed in, didn’t pick up the flavors of the sauce. We also ordered the Thai basil chicken, which wasn’t bad, but the sauce was one note of just sweetness, needed more basil felt the sauce over powered the basil; and everything chopped up into small bits, while fine, created sort of one texture feeling in each bite. The ground chicken, green beans and rice were all the same firmness. The service was stellar and I love the blue velvet benches, just felt the food could use some improvement.

What a great Thai Restaurant. We got to meet the Owners and their daughter (who the restaurant is named for--and she is a young cutie pie). The food was delicious and plentiful. I ordered 2 stars, and it was spiced perfect (on a 1 to 5 basis). The waitstaff members were friendly, efficient, helpful, knowledgeable, and spoke Thai with my friend who is fluent in Thai. The restaurant had only been opened for a few weeks in Boise, Idaho, but everything ran smoothly. I don't remember the name of the dish I ordered, but it was as good as the first photo indicates. The second photo with the square dish is my spouses tasty Panang Curry. I highly recommend Maggie's for an authentic Thai experience.

I have tried this restaurant three times, hoping for better food each times based on reviews. And it's just not good 😭 it's so bland compared to other Thai restaurants. I really don't get the high food reviews. The green curry was watery and tasted shallow, the pad see ew was SO BLAND, and the pad thai is just 1 note of sweet. They don't actually adjust the spice level of your dish, instead they bring a little dish of red pepper flakes (which are delicious but I don't want to be the one seasoning my food). Positive notes: the portions are on the larger side and I enjoy their cook on the tofu. But with the price of food these days and MUCH better options around the valley, I won't be back.
