My husband's sales rep came in today with a box of goodies. Opening that huge box was a dozen a beautifully glazed treats! The smell of the donuts was so intoxicating. I know they try really hard to mimic that scent through candles and plug ins but nothing can mimic thee scent of freshly glazed donuts. The scent is so heavenly.
A couple donuts were been eaten before I got my pick of one. Not mad cause there were still quite a few good looking ones to pick from. They all looked so tasty! The round glazed, pink sprinkled, the maple glazed. I ended up going got the classic, the chocolate glazed bar. You always got to try the classic for your first time. The classics is where is at!
Holy cow was this donut delicious! It was nicely glazed with a generous amount of chocolate. The donut itself was airy and fluffy in the middle, not dense. The outside of the donut was slightly crispy and buttery. I have had chocolate bars that are really thick and dense but this bad boy was so light. Each bite was so good! Chocolatey, soft middle and a little crispy texture from the exterior of the donut.
It was great being able to try a treat from this joint. I had half the bar and it was a perfect little treat after my lunch. My daughter has frequented this joint a few times and has raved about their donuts. I finally got to see what she was talking about. Now that I know they push out great donuts, I will have to stop at this...
Read moreThis small homely donut shop is an excellent choice for a quick trip out for some quality pastries. With quite the variety, My Donuts will wow you with the clean, friendly environment, reasonable pricing, incredible selection of both beverages and donuts, unique combinations, and inviting atmosphere. This shop was a fantastic replacement for the stagnate business there prior. The establishment seems to be run by a sweet, hard-working older couple who are glad to go the extra mile to ensure your experience is a good one. My only wish for My Donuts would be for it to be open a bit later, but I certainly wouldn't fault it for that, given how early they open. On opening day, I actually went both very early in the morning, and later in the day toward close. To my astonishment, the same couple was working, meaning that at that point they had both been working for longer than 12 hours. 12 hours, and they still had a smile on their face, a positive attitude, and were happy to ensure we were happy. They were giving out free donuts as part of the opening and seeing how long the line was just the two times I visited that day, I imagine they sacrificed a lot of donuts to show the community they care. This is a local business and I would encourage anyone who loves a good donut and is able to, please go spend a few dollars at this wonderful bakery known...
Read moreBoise is blessed to have a bunch of great donut shops, but this place far surpasses all the others! You absolutely cannot go wrong here - everything I have had (probably over half of the varieties they stock at this point) has been delightful, and the people who run it are extremely friendly and kind as well. Before I discovered My Donuts I didn't even think I liked donuts, but now I find myself scheduling trips to that part of town around when they're open.
I took a couple dozen into work awhile back, and by the end of that day I think eight people had asked me where I got them. Since somebody brings donuts in at least once a month, that's an office that knows a thing or two about donuts!
If you're looking for an amazing donut, then this is absolutely the place to go. I usually get a maple bar, a chocolate glazed, some donut holes, or a Boston Creme (and they're all stellar).
If you're not so much a donut person, My Donuts has you covered as well. Get a kolache - if they're not sold out when I stop in (and they're understandably very popular), I can't leave without one. The glazed croissants and buttermilk bars are both incredible, and the danishes are absolutely the best I've ever had.
Fantastic donuts. Wonderful people. Do yourself a favor...
