Extremely dissapointed. Terrible delivery, inferior product and forget any form of suitable customer service. Buyer beware, 5 Star will provide the worst possible experience and leave you extremely frustrated. I wasn't pleased my first experience with them. Not completely satisfied with the quality of my purchase. Delivery guys were inept and broke the furniture. Had to wait weeks for a replacement. But fit my budget and I just explained it away to myself with "well, you get what you pay for". This time around I should have known better when I heard sales telling another customer two different (and utimately untrue) excuses for a late delivery. Wish I turned around and walked right out. Big mistake. Learn from me, stay far away from 5 Star Garland and spend your money elsewhere. Update After posting this review the owner did contact me to try to resolve the problem. I asked for my slats to fix my broken bed I had just purchased. It requires more support than what is provided. Took a couple days. Delivery men arrived with no slats. They were polite but were never told by management that we needed them. Just rescrewed broken legs back on and informed me the bed required a box spring. They brought back two single bed box springs that made the bed 3 feet high and virtually impossible to get on. No sheets are made to fit this. You need a ladder to get on the bed. Covers the backboard. Big mess. I called the manager again. Frustrated with the result and requested a return as this is not suitable. I was then informed there is a no return policy and he did all he could. He did say I could purchase a slim box spring from him at additional cost. Problem with that is, NOBODY told us a box spring was necessary. There wasn't one on the showroom model, nor in any photos of the bed. Even during my initial phonecall over this issue a boxspring wasn't suggested by Sam or sales. Why sell something you have no knowledge of? Why weren't we told in the beginning? Anyways, I'm off to home depot to buy the slats I needed in the first place. Not happy. Never again. UPDATE PART 2: I was contacted via telephone by a very pleasant woman named Joslin. She wanted to send a token of apology in the form of a new rug. Informed me it would be delivered next day. Guess what...3 days later, NO rug. Ah well. Guess customer service stays true to form. Update Part 3: Sam warned me after I purchased the bed and complained that the bed was manufactured poorly.It finally fell apart. The brackets are unable to hold the weight of the mattress. Be advised, if you have children or pets, this bed is a safety hazard absent any warnings. Someone could be seriously injured by the shoddy craftsmanship. The reason I am giving them 3 stars is for the unprofessional service I got from the sales lady I was working with named Carla. Carla was professional during my visit and worked with me to get the best deal possible. She gave me her cell phone number and told me I could text her at any moment if I had any questions about my order or delivery information. I ordered this furniture a little over a month in advance. Plenty of time. My furniture was supposed to be delivered on 12/27. Carla gave me a call on the 26th to tell me that they will not be able to deliver my furniture on the 27th because they couldn’t locate my barstools, which I found odd beings that I ordered this furniture over a month ago, so she said it will be delivered on the 28th instead. On the 28th in the morning I texted Carla to confirm my delivery for the day and the time. She said that I’m scheduled and furniture will be delivered between 2pm-9pm. I waited all day, nothing. I texted Carla for an ETA, and she didn’t reply, she just left me on read. At least turn your read receipts off if you’re going to ignore me. I even tried calling, no answer. So the day went by and no furniture in sight. Since it was late I decided to contact Carla in the morning to find out what’s going on. Carla went off on me, these are quotes from her to me “ I don’t deliver furniture, I sell it.” “Today is my off day and so was yesterday, I need my rest and to enjoy my off day just like everyone else” I was soo shocked with the service and lack of empathy I got from her. I cut off all communications with here even tho she continued to text me, and just called the store directly. That’s when I spoke to Jennifer, she was so professional and showed so much empathy for my frustration. She continued to call me back to back to give me updates and made sure I received all my furniture with care. It turns out the issues with the delivery was from a lack of communication and notation to the team from Carla. The delivery guys were sweet as well, I don’t know how Carla is the way she is with co-workers opposite of her. I recommend this place but not the salesperson! Read moreI absolutely REGRET working with these ppl!!!! We have received NOTHING but the run around in regards to our couch being delivered. First it’s 7 days. Then it’s Jan 2nd. Well here we are and the day of I have to find out (after asking delivery time) that I now have to wait until JANUARY 16th!!! I have a house warming party JANUARY 4TH!!!!! This company has caused me a HUGE inconvenience all because they lack the proper communications skills. I sold my original couch being too dependent on the false info provided by these ppl! So guess what? COUCHLESS FOR A MONTH! I’ve been patient, but at this point, I have NONE left for these ppl. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!
