On August 3rd, 2025, my wife and I walked into this store expecting a simple shopping experience. What we encountered instead was one of the most degrading and heartbreaking displays of customer service we’ve ever witnessed. The individual in charge spoke to customers as if they were beneath him—like children unworthy of even the most basic respect. His tone was cold, condescending, and dismissive, as though courtesy was a burden too great for him to bear. What truly shook us was the way he yelled at a woman simply asking a question. In a voice laced with hostility, he demanded, “Where are you going?”—not out of concern or policy, but with an aggression that was absolutely chilling. It wasn’t just inappropriate—it was dehumanizing. Watching someone be spoken to like that in a public space was sickening. We left the store deeply upset and disheartened. No one should ever be treated this way.

Disappointing visit this time. Shelves were not properly stocked. Many open spaces for store branded items. Elderly employee wearing a white round hat did not wash his hands before returning to work after restroom visit. This same employee was cell phoning in the men's handicap toilet last week and didn't wash his hands that time either which is why i noticed it this time. Cashier inadvertently charged item twice. No big deal normally, but the tattooed customer service center lady Jessica was nowhere to be found until the cashier PA'd for her. I guess she was napping in the cash closet and must have woken up on the grumpy side . Refund handled but only begrudgingly.

I asked for a cake for my youngest son & this is what I got. Worst experience ever with a grocery store cake. Cake said “Memo” instead of “Melo” & she corrected it upon pick up, the sloppiest way!! Just left the smeared icing smh. Put some effort into what people are paying for. This is unacceptable! Barely looks like the #3. Will never get a cake from this Kroger again!! Adding a photo of the cake I got 2yrs ago of the #5 from Kroger in Sachse, phenomenal job! Should’ve went back there instead of this location.

ONLY giving three stars because the store manager is a sweetheart.

However, this bakery is a joke and the manager of the bakery Stacey is a terrible person. I put in an order for a cake on February 6 to be picked up today on February 12. I called to check on it and Stacey tried to say that I had the wrong Kroger when I said that I had the order number she was like oh, let me check the emails. Then she tried to tell me that someone in the bakery had it to be picked up tomorrow and it wasn’t ready. I told her it was eff’d up and she said well there’s nothing I can do about it. She said it was going to be 30 minutes and then hung up on me. She had a TERRIBLE attitude. I showed up thirty minutes later and she told me it was still going to be 15 minutes. I said that it was unacceptable and she had terrible customer service and I wanted to speak to the manager. She berated me and while I was talking to the manager she was glaring at me and then tried to cause a scene in the middle of the store saying she wasn’t going to go there with me and trying to talk a bunch of mess. She is very unprofessional and very rude. When you make a mistake you take accountability for it, you pushed back someone’s whole day because you didn’t do quality control and then decided to have an attitude about it. I’ve been in the customer service jobs, I know how it feels to make a mistake but you still take accountability and talk to people with respect. I hope she gets reprimanded for her actions she chose to take. This is the second chance we’ve given the bakery. They messed up our other sons cake last June but that manager was different and he was very nice and took accountability for his mistake. So we decided to give them another chance but Stacey is in the wrong profession with that...

Horrible store!!! Shopped here frequently until last week. I usually go at night and use self checkout as it's usually all that's open. My last visit I had a small hand basket of about 8 items, I scanned and paid and retrieved my receipt. As I was bagging, one of the items got close to the scanner and scanned again, the rude older African woman at self checkout walked over and immediately accused me of stealing my items, I explained to her what happened and she still accused me of not paying for anything, despite the receipt and card still being in my hand which I showed her. After the third time of her telling me I wa stealing, I just walked away and start to leave, I put my basket up and she followed me out the door yelling that I was a thief and I was stealing stuff in front of other customers and employees, which is a crime. I called a few minutes later to talk to MOD and the African woman answered and told me she was the manager on duty, when I asked her name she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a younger guy who said there was no MOD on that night, he was nicer but said he was new and he didn't know the woman's name. He gave me the name of Eddie as the store manager, I have called a few times to speak with Eddie and get placed on terminal hold or hung up on. I may have to look in to hiring an attorney as their employee violated the law and defamed me in front of several people. Sad that a Kroger employs people that...

I do not recommend ever doing curbside pickup for your groceries at this location. The people in that department DO NOT have it together. The last 2 times I've placed a grocery orders with them it was not ready until over an hour after the scheduled pick-up time. They never even apologize or offer any time of discount or anything for the inconvenience. Just make excuse after excuse. If you can't handle the amount of grocery orders coming in an hour they need to disable the option for curbside. Or at least let us know more in advance that our groceries will not be ready for over an hour & that they don't even know when they will be ready! Don't wait until 5:01pm to tell me my groceries that are scheduled to be picked up @ 5pm aren't going to be ready until 6 or 6:30.... then at 6:15p have someone come out to tell me "idk why they even gave you a time" "I have no idea how much longer it's going to be for you" and still no apologies just excuses about people quitting in the morning. I get the your short staffed but pull people from other departments to help or disable curbside as an option... make it so less slots can be filled per times lot. Do something to avoid such horrible customer service! This will be the last time I do curbside at...
