Jaimes Donuts — Restaurant in Garland

I came in planning to buy some donuts, but immediately noticed flies hovering around and landing on the donuts, sandwiches, and kolaches in the display case. The kolaches looked old and dried out, like they had been sitting out for hours.

When the staff member came out to assist me, I mentioned the issue — specifically pointing out the flies. He simply said “thank you” and walked away, showing no concern or intention to fix the problem.

Food safety and cleanliness should be a top priority for any business serving food. Based on what I saw, I won’t be coming back.

Flies were visibly landing on your donuts, sandwiches, and kolaches — and nothing was done even after I pointed it out. Whether those items were for sale or not, they were uncovered food in plain view with no signs stating they were for display only. That’s misleading and unsanitary.

What concerned me most wasn’t just the flies — it was the lack of urgency. The employee didn’t apologize, didn’t remove or cover the food, and walked off like it didn’t matter. That’s not just poor customer service — it’s a food safety issue.

Great Little shop with amazing kolaches and donuts. I came in early saturday morning, I was greeted promptly and everything was given as ordered. The only part that was not so great was the young ladies attitude up front, she wasn’t so pleasant to be attended by. I am not asking for 5- star customer service I understand it’s early in the morning however, a more pleasant attitude/ response would be appreciated ecspecially if as a customer one is being extremely pleasant and non-hostile. Jaimes Donuts knows how to make cinnamon rolls! My wife and I were in Garland early this morning and decided to grab some donuts. We also got donut holes (the bag was very generously filled) and cinnamon rolls which had the perfect blend of cinnamon, glaze, and was very chewy and tasty. The folks there (I presumed are a mom & pop owner) were very friendly and nice. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect cinnamon roll and it might just be here.
