I told the guy I had a budget of $900 and that I wanted to get a new phone so that I wouldn't have to come back in a year and buy a new phone. He talked me into a $500 phone. I thought it was weird that as a sales man that he would talk me into a cheaper phone. I wanted to keep my phone number so he transfered the service. I asked to buy a cover but he didn't have one for that model. I left and discovered the service was now split between the two phones and I would text from one and responses would come back through the other. I went back to him and he fixed it. I left only to discover that it still wasn't working. I went back and asked if I cod just return the phone. I wanted to go somewhere else and start over. He insisted that if I just got new different service that the phone would work. The physical phone itself was fine. So I bought different service for the new phone even though I had ready paid for the other service. He made a huge deal about how he hadn't GIVEN me a sims card, but he TOOK the Sims card out of my old phone, which should still work because I bought service for it. But it does not. The newer phone he sold me is so old that Walmart doesn't even sell cases for it and I'm struggling to find one that fits it online, the ones I order that say they should fit it do not. This whole situation has been such a mess and a headache. I drove across town to total wireless so I could keep my phone number and it turns out that he doesn't work for the company, he's like a third party service dealer guy who just buys and sells service and then takes no responsibility for whether any of it works or not. I am truly very angry at all the money...

He spent several hours on the phone with Total Wireless customer support fighting for me and doing everything he could to get my phone back up and working. When we discovered it was indeed an issue on the carrier's end, he stayed on the phone with the agent until everything on my account was cleared up. Even escalating the issue up to a supervisor when the first line agent wasn't getting the job done!
