Not senior citizen friendly. Came out behind a senior citizen not too long ago her van across from entrance with a handicap placard they had her van booted and they charged her 75$ to take it off. She was crying. It was terrible. The gray haired security guard there was very rude to her even told her that would teach her. He was very loud rude and disrespectful. Then today I parked got out to go in that same security guard stocky with gray hair was in the parking lot jumping all over two well mannered and dressed teenagers that were standing in the parking lot. The young lady started crying he was being so nasty. They started leaving I ask if I could see what was in her basket the gray haired security guard came bolting over started jumping on them again I told him they were obviously leaving that I had ask to see what they had he looked at them told them to leave. I told him I wanted to buy something and was looking. He said he was calling police I told him I was there to shop in that store and I had ask them to see what they had they didn't ask me, he started being disrespectful loud and rude to me. I told him I was a regular customer and he knows it he sees me come in and check out and if that was how he was going to talk to customers I'd go somewhere else to shop. He actually said then go shop somewhere else ! I was shocked ! Then he said he was going to call the police and huffed off. I bought a Jesus necklace quickly and gave it to the young ( hispanic ) lady crying told her put it on and keep it she said she would they left and I left. This whole time there was a grown man with a bike and two back packs piled up against the wall close the the entrance the security guard didn't say a word to him. I have seen that same security guard be rude to so many older / decent people in the last year. I won't be shopping there again. Never experienced this at other Foodlions. Maybe FoodLion should close that one down. There were two men fighting in the parking lot last year with a gun involved when I came out from shopping.. That same security guard was there then and stayed inside . Figures. Guess he only looks for senior citizens and decent teenagers he feels safe to pick on. Looks bad on...
Read moreStore 0364 employee Vinny I went to the store with my toddler and she knocked a glass product to the floor where it shattered. I began searching for an employee to help. I found one employee (not Vinny, I'm intentionally not sharing the name of this employee) who I reported the glass to. The employee told me to go up front myself to go find a manager to report it to. How am I supposed to know who's a manager and who's not? So I wandered up front searching for someone else to help me. I saw Vinny, but he had items in his hands. I assumed he was on break or ended shift so I asked, "Are you on or off the clock?". He said, "Off the clock" I said "okay, sorry to bother you" and started to look for another employee. Vinny said, "No, what do you need help with?" I told him about the broken glass. He said, "No worries, I'll get that reported and taken care of for you." Vinny is helpful, kind, and miraculously always looks happy to be there. His cheerful attitude is contagious, and he engages in conversation with my young children when I bring them. Anyone at corporate who may be reading this: pay attention to this employee! He's your high potential in this store and you should invest in opportunities for him if you want a culture of putting your customers first. Vinny is going places; you'd be wise to make sure you're the one helping...
Read moreConvenient location with armed security guards at the front entrance. This is a VERY busy location and it could use some more staff members. They had a decent selection for the most part but I wouldn't say this is the most well stocked Food Lion I've been to. Perhaps the understaffing was the reason for the clutter and understocked shelves? They did have armed security guards at the entrance so I guess I felt safe there. However, the store was a good bit cluttered when we went there. The staff members could be more friendly or at the very least more personable. For example, the lady we had ringing up purchase and the cashier beside her (the one to my back as you stand at the card reader) were not all that friendly and barely spoke to us or the customer behind us. They had conversations among themselves in perfect English (as in their first language) so I'm not sure why they didn't really speak to their customers aside from just giving us our totals. The manager or supervisor that was monitoring at the front looked rather disdainful. I truly am hoping this was just an off day for everyone and that, if we ever shop at this location again, we have a better experience and it was just a bad day for everyone at...
