Dollar General — Local services in Gentry

Only giving 3 stars because the daytime workers are always pleasant and the convenience of the store being close to home. I also enjoy shopping the new home items they have stocked. But.... the last couple of visits have been completely frustrating! The checkout lines all the way down the medication isle. At least 15 minutes of standing in line while the employees scramble from one register to the next trying to get one to work to get customers checked out. There were several people that dropped their items where they stood and walked out in frustration. One last thing the evening shift employees need to learn customer service because as a frustrated customer these employees are completely rude. I'd rather take my business elsewhere then be around people that can't even put a smile on their face and say hello. Dollar General you'll be loosing a whole lot of business if this is the way this store...

I've never been treated more rudely in my life. It's not my fault that your store sale signs are misleading. Throwing my receipt in the trash instead of handing it back with the change or put it in the bag was just childish. After I went back for my receipt I was attacked by the other patrons and called horrible names and told that the cashier and everyone in the store thinks I'm a stupid f@:king wh@&e! Seriously! Nothing I said was personal or unkind in any way what so ever. Why talk about me to the other customers after I left are you in grade school? If you're short handed ask them to hire more employees and if your being paid to do a job don't complain about doing it that's just common sense. We will drive to Siloam to the Dollar general before we ever step back in this...

The lot behind the store in Gentry Arkansas on Main Street is overgrown with weeds topping 6ft. Trees that have grown from not maintaining the property. The lot is full of trash, there are mosquitos, bugs of all kinds and snakes! I have ask 3 times since I moved here 45 days ago for someone to please clean this up. I have been told by code Inforcement it will be done in 7 days on two of those complaints. Nothing has been done. Talking to the store personnel they say they have been contact and went through the channels to pass the complaint along but still nothing. Its not only is an eyesores, it is a fire hazard and it runs down the city in general. Why the city or the mayor has done nothing about this amazes me. I have pictures but am not sure how to...
