Asami tea may be the best tea I have ever had! I have been a tea drinker for over 40 years, and I enjoy all kinds of teas: black, green, red roibos, and herbal blends. However, in the past, when I brewed a cup, there would be some left in the bottom that I didn't finish.

When I brew a cup of Asami tea, it is gone before I realize it, and I want more. I can always manage to get a second cup from the teabag, too, so that makes it easy!

I love all the Asami teas I have tried, and my son has tried several, too. He is a picky fellow who is on a culinary career track and works in fine dining. For him to vote with his wallet and order some Asami tea is the highest compliment to the quality of the Asami brand!

I never appreciated the “tea experience” until I tried Asami. The look, the smell, and the taste create something magical in my day.

The tea is beautiful, and you can identify many of the ingredients in the lovely silk bags. It is not a pulverized powder like many brands.

Smelling the tea fills me with a sense of delight. I always inhale the delicate fragrance a couple of times before brewing. Yet the fragrance does not prepare you for the unique and perfectly balanced taste experience.

Asami tea is amazingly fresh and clean with zero bitter aftertaste. I noted that with the first cup and again with every cup. I have purchased two variety boxes and sampled eight different blends, and all are excellent.

My favorite is probably the Luxor Lemon, a lightly caffeinated green tea. I visited the world’s largest green tea plantation in Hangzhou, China in 2019, and thought I had reached green tea nirvana! I honestly like the Luxor Lemon green tea better!

I came across Asami when I was browsing for exotic teas and decided I’d try their Rwandan Black Tea. My order came quickly and with two other sample teas. I boiled some water and let soak the loose leaves - the smell was robust and appeasing! I loved it! I drink my tea strong and the aroma let me know just how great the taste would be, divine and distinctive from others I’ve tried ♥️ I’ve been looking for exotic tea blends that weren’t of English or Chinese origin so stumbling upon Asami was perfect, I’m excited to share this flavorful experience!

I think was is truly wonderful about Asami is the fact that their products are handmade and therefore were crafted with care and love. The tea is gathered and harvested by farmers and artisans of Africa and its peace of mind to know the money you spend will be returned to the hands that prepared the teas ♥️

I conduct tea leaf readings and the tea leaves Asami provides can come loose leafed and free of the bags (though, I must say, teas like Cederberg Sunset that are bagged, taste even better than they already smell). These leaves give me such clear and concise symbols and shapes after I let what remains (maybe a drop or two) drain upside down. It’s a good way to enjoy the taste of another culture and have fun with even the leaves left over.

It comes at such good prices for an exemplary cup or pot of tea and it comes from people who love what they do. Their customer service is even kind and considerate of your questions and concerns. Don’t be shy, give...

Hate giving the 1 star because the product I tried was wonderful at the farmers market. Sadly I didn't buy that day but decided to order through their website a few days later. Never got my tea, couldn't get any response back on 2 emails trying to find out the status! Poor customer service and a dissatisfied customer that was really looking forward to supporting their business! Rethinking that option. Online buyers beware.

Update: After seeing the review I actually got a phone call from a very nice gentleman and he is in the process of making it right. Final update..I changed my star rating from the 1 to a 5 because Ola went above and beyond what he needed to do. Including driving almost an hour to bring the product I had originally ordered and 3 other items they have for us to try as well as a full refund! Very polite, apologetic and will check with the post office tomorrow to see why the original never moved through the postal service! This man cares about customer satisfaction and...
