Family Fare Supermarket — Local services in Georgetown Charter Township

Have a nice variety of brands . It's smaller and has more of a community feeling to it . Have a nice policy of marking items down when they are close to their expiration date . The meat department is very good and we enjoy the deli counter.

Family Fare Pharmacy ( Jenison location)

This is the only pharmacy we will use . In the past we have tried Meijers and Walgreens and eventually gave up and returned to Family Fare . They always go way beyond our expectations to make sure a new medication is safe for us , will call us if a Dr ordered a medication that is in the same class as one we had an adverse reactions to previously to see if we were aware of this information. 2 of my medications can only come from a certain manufacturer and they always let me know in advance of needing a refill if there are issues getting these medications from the manufacturer. 4th time out of 4 times coming here that this particular Family Fare Fastlane is messed up. Very nice about mistakes; however, it keeps happening and this time I sat in the parking lot waiting for almost 40 minutes and almost 20 minutes with the food in my car because they were having a problem with bananas on my receipt. I asked if I could leave because I get the receipt emailed anyway and was told no. At the end of the 40 minutes (on top of 30 extra min after my pick up time) I got an I'm sorry ma'am and the bananas are free... which is great except that the pizza that I had ordered for a group at my home that was done at 4 o'clock is ruined and it's 4:40. This is a bigger problem than a problem with bananas. This is why you need designated staff working fast lane or not offer it. So frustrating. I will drive to Grandville...

The YES card is seriously the best. I do really like the deli area at family fair, there’s typically always some kind of deal going on. Some items can be a little higher than other stores & some items you may not find. However that doesn’t mean you may not find a NEW product to try, which will almost always turn into a new must have. Check out lines can get a little long though depending on the time you are shopping, but the checkout girl I had tonight was awesome!
