Crosby's Marketplace — Local services in Georgetown

I'm a good customer. Been going to Crosbys since I moved here however I will not be going back even tho they have amazing soup and salads. I had an employee blocking my way. The kid behind the counter asked him to move twice...he wasn't listening because he was playing on his phone in the middle of the checkout line so no one could check out. He proceeded to rudely say WHAT the to kid at the register. Employee on his phone turned around gave me a nasty look and walked away. The kid at the register didn't see him do this but decided to tell me I was being rude and told me it wasn't a big deal. I told him he didn't see how the other employee looked at me. Though he still kept telling me I was the one being rude...I'm 38 I'm disabled i don't need or deserve a 16 yrs old telling me I'm rude when he had no idea what had happened. For all u young customer service employees out there THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Im employed in customer service and would NEVER have the gaul to speak to someone older than me the way I was spoken to..learn some respect and know ur place as employees. I love that Crosby’s in Georgetown is available to me. It is not my primary supermarket but I have shopped there plenty enough times to comment. It alludes to be more upscale than competitors, offering quality meats and produce along with some really good prepared meals. Some items lack in selection like pet foods and cereals which would have their own entire aisle in most supermarkets. However there are hidden gems, I have found some fancy marinades and exotic items I don’t ordinarily see. The beer and wine section is well stocked with a surprising variety of both. My empty star is that it overprices staples, I understand paying more for specialty items and ready made, so I use it when I want to be fancy but for the other things I prefer to...

They were late opening, even though they saw me standing there at the door they didn’t care. They just sat there doing whatever they were doing, and they didn’t care if they were late opening at all, and I had very important flowers to buy for someone and they wouldn’t let me in, the only good thing I have to say is that the people that work in the deli they know how to cut cheese and I don’t mean that in like a bad way I mean that in a good way they can slice up and they slice it up to perfection but other than the people in the deli Everyone just sat around and didn’t care one bit.
