Julie's Antiques is a must see stop, for anyone visiting Gering , Nebraska. Julie's antique store is WONDERFUL ! There are actually 3 floors, of antiques. There is everything from fine collectible dishes, glassware, antique jewelry, antique furniture, clothes, vintage and antique furs. Visiting Julie's is like stepping back in time. Gering is so fortunate to have such an iconic representation of days gone by. The building itself, is one of the original buildings constructed in Gering. If you are looking for lovely, old unique items for yourself or for gifts, Julie has it. If you are looking for vintage, used furniture, the second floor has about half a city block of chairs, tables, couches, etc. If you need an appliance for a good deal, the adjacent area to the store is filled to the brim, with used stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers. Had to wait almost a week after I called to say that the fridge we bought was making a clanging a noise before they replaced it. Instead of making arrangements to replace the fridge when I first called they told me to call back in a week and they'd come out the morning I call. Well when I called the man tried to argue with me that he had a delivery to make and wouldn't be able to come. I put up a fight and explained it was so loud I couldn't sleep and had been dealing with it for a week and eventually he did come out that morning and replace the fridge. We were in the area traveling through and decided to stop. I collect old Nebraska books, magazines, maps etc. I found 4 older educational books on Nebraska. I expected the price to be quite high, as Omaha antique stores are super pricey. I was pleasantly surprised they offered 20 dollars for all four. There was a man and a women running the front( I didn’t catch names but they were so fun to talk with) I sure wish I was closer, I’d be there often if I was! They have a great collection of furniture and other odds and ends. A main floor, basement and upper level filled to the brim. Can’t wait to stop back in next time I’m in the area!...
