We were there to see our second, very recent concert of "Shine On Floyd" (first in San Tan). We were rather disappointed with the sound characteristics of the theatre, (sound bounced off the brick-like walls) and, the use of "blue lighting" inside the venue (along the walls and pointed directly at the audience), during the concert, was quite annoying and really took away from the band's performance lights. "Tacky". It was said there had to be so many lumens present for safety reasons by the event coordinator, (he was very nice, and addressed the terrible blue lighting issue halfway through the show). I never seen that type of requirement at any of the other concert venues I recently attended in AZ. Anyway, the concert itself was lackluster due to some timing issues and new personnel jitters, but I will continue to see and support them, as they are quite talented and I absolutely love them all. They are worth being seen, and are a wonderful combination of talented...
Read moreFirst, they have a clear bag policy which I feel 100% should be there when you Google the venue. Second, they have a VERY limited drink list at the bar. Third, there is NO RE-ENTRY, so you can't go outside to take a phone call and go back in. Fourth, the pizza is slightly bigger than the ones at QT, and taste AMAZING! well worth the $12.00 (they didn't have parm, red peppers, or salt though, which they DO have at QT). And finally, the sound guys do a fabulous job. The show was amazing. The seats are comfortable (a little close for my preference, but some people don't mind touching strangers) (the seat numbers/letters, I feel, should be on the BACK of the seats, since that's what part you see upon entering, however, it's not hard to see once you're in front of the rows) Not a horrible experience. Definitely could have been...
Read moreI attended the Shagwells 60s tribute on 1/27, and it was a lot of fun! Easy to find, plenty of parking, easy entry (didn't even need my ticket), super friendly bartenders with plenty of drink options. Also a few food options (think concession stands at a baseball game - popcorn, pizza, candy, etc). Assigned seating, although there were plenty of empty seats to pick from when I was there, and even more after intermission. Also room to dance on each side of the stage. Will be going back tonight for the Johnny...
