The elderly lady cashier with short hair was really rude she got all defensive as if I were blaming her when I wasn’t at all . She said it’s not my fault three times loudly when I was only trying to explain the issue . She seemed as if she didn’t want to hear me out at all . She made a big ol scene a loud announcement apologized To the line behind Me she said sorry everyone I am going to have to delete her whole transaction and start all over again very loudly. Seemed as if she just wanted to humiliate me and embarrass me . She was very unprofessional , loud and rude . There was no reason for her to treat me like that . It was a terrible experience for me when I wasn’t even complaining or blaming her of anything . I explained to her after her rudeness that the only item that needed to be refunded was the gallon of milk not the whole transaction I am not sure what her issue was but I’ve been in retail for awhile and I have not once acted with a tantrum fit with any of my customers. Hope someone in management explains to her that this behavior very...
Read moreSmart & Final has a unique format compared to other grocery stores and it isn't a one-stop shop. However, they pack a lot of items into a smaller store that's easy to navigate. Usually I can find most items that I'm looking for there despite the store's size. Their produce isn't stellar, but it's okay. The prices there aren't quite the lowest, but they're pretty fair overall. I'm willing to pay just a bit more for the quieter and more convenient shopping experience that I find at Smart & Final. The store is always clean and the employees are always friendly. No self-checkouts, unfortunately, but there wouldn't be room for them anyway. I do go there often because it's right up the corner from me, but also because the local Fry's is always very busy and rather chaotic. Overall, though, S & F is a hidden gem of a grocery store, combining fair prices, pretty decent selections, nice employees, and a more relaxed shopping atmosphere in a...
Read moreI debated between one and two stars on this place. They have a huge sign comparing the prices to Frys, but the things I buy rarely seem to be cheaper. This is primarily because Frys has "sales" all the time but still. They have many bulk items, however the selection of regular items is limited. The produce seems to have a short shelf life, and I've more than once opened up meat items once I got home and they smelled a bit off. However the most frustrating thing is when I go to buy things the tag is wrong, usually it is cheaper than the ring up price of the item. It is frustrating as I don't want to stand at checkout making everyone wait over a dollar, but it feels super misleading. I often wonder how many people don't pay attention and get ripped off without knowing. Long story short, I avoid this place when at...
