Vineyard Gilbert Community Church — Local services in Gilbert

My husband and I have been attending the Gilbert Vineyard for about 1.5 years after we relocated here from Washington State. This church has strong biblical foundation and an awesome balance of solid theology with the work of the Holy Spirit. We love Pastor Jack's messages each week, as well as the other pastors. We have a strong pastoral team and don't feel like we ever get the "JV" team when they preach on Sunday morning. Worship is great, and we have many high quality and talented musicians of all ages. Our children's pastor is over the top! Pastor Mike is wonderful with the kids, funny, creative and high energy. We love serving with him. My children love the teachers here and look forward to going every week. I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old, and they are surrounded by people who love them every Sunday. They stay with us for worship so we can all praise together as a family, then I drop them off after (most kids go to their classes before service starts). Pastor Jack is a humble, intelligent, and caring man. All of his sermons end the same way- with the love of Jesus an invitation to spend time with Him. We went to a Vineyard church in Kentucky before moving here, and when we first came to Vineyard Gilbert we felt immediately at home. The church is very clean. I arrived for my first visit on 01/28/2024. Semi casual attire. There wasn't anyone to greet me when I came in but it was fine. A few people did introduce themselves to me. If you love the music part of ministry this church is for you. The music is well done. Rating a church seems hardly appropriate. Lol What didn't work for me ? There was no prayer. Not before the music, not after the music or even before or after the service. Scripture calls for prayer. In the church's defense they do state on the website that at 10:00 am to 10:30 am they have prayer time. Prayer was offered to anyone who wanted it after the service.
