Boba CuCue Bubble Tea Cafe - Gilbert — Restaurant in Gilbert

The store is super cute and loved all the options, but after trying a couple drinks we were not impressed with the flavors. The Thai milk tea was not sweet or creamy and was more bland. And the chocolate tornado and banana tornado were more watery and did not taste like chocolate or banana. The pocky stick had more flavor than the drinks. The fried chicken was over seasoned and was a salty punch in the face. And the beef bowl was ok, but it was just meat and rice, nothing over the top or great. Lastly, the service, the guy there was super cool and helpful and VERY nice during our whole visit. He was basically the best part of our visit. The other girl working there tonight was so rude and had the worst resting B face. Never greeted or said anything to us just annoyed that we were there and ordered food. And we decided to order 2 drinks for the road and once we got our drinks we started to clean up our table, and she instantly "informs" us that they are now closed in the rudest way possible. We had originally gotten there 30-40 minutes before to closing. And prior to them closing we asked if it was too late to order 2 more drinks for the road. And the guy said it wasn't and we were good. Don't think we will come back again. Hopefully, that girl can find some kindness and ditch being rude...

The cutea concept is noted throughout all the decoration. It is a nice & clean place to study and/or sit and chat when COVID-19 is over.

The teas:

Thai tea: great for those who doesn’t like their tea to be super sweet

Jasmine tea and oolong flower tea: fragrant was amazing but I could have gone for more sweetness

Brown sugar milk tea: it was good but I think the brown sugar ratio should be increase to make it better

The boba: It was inconsistent in each tea for me. I did not like it in the brown sugar milk tea and Oolong Flower tea but it was okay for me in the Thai and Jasmine tea. They were not all soft and chewy like how I prefer.

The popcorn chicken: I was expecting Taiwanese style popcorn chicken but instead, I got little balls of chicken nuggets type. I would skip this item.

Price: All drinks come with 1 topping included (brown sugar boba). If you like boba in your teas, not bad of a deal. If you don’t like boba in your teas, it’s a little more expensive.

Edit: i went again on 3-1 and they had two new ladies working there. They were very patient and kind. They were working non stop. It was pretty busy but they did a great job helping everyone. The food and drinks were delicious The only thing that was good was my drink. I ordered three different kind of snacks and all of them looked alike. The lady at the register had an attitude. It looked like ahe hated her job. I ordered veggies dumplings and chicken dumplings. When I received them, both of them were veggies. I went back to the counter and opened one of each box to show her that they were both the same but she still argued that one was chicken. When I asked her to show me where the chicken was because I couldn't see it, she offered to make another batch. The other batch ended up being veggie too. Another lady came after me to tell them that her order was wrong and she argued with her too. Looking at the place, it looks cute and fun but her attitude made me not want to go there again.
