I will give this company three stars because the customer service was really great. My rug, however, came back in really awful condition. There was a note rolled up inside that it said that it had been cleaned in additional time to help with the stains, but the truth in the matter is that my rug had one very small stain Roughly the size of a golf ball and when I unrolled it after I got it home it not only had pet hair in the fibers that were not there when I dropped it off, but it also had additional staining. If you have a low pill Heavy traffic rug that might be OK but I brought them a mid century modern Flokati that is pure Sherpa, and it is in worse condition than when I dropped it off and it reeks of heavy perfumes from whatever detergent that they used on it. The texture is also not soft and fluffy, like I was anticipating, but more greasy and mealy. So disappointed in the overall experience with this job. It's the first time I've gone to the Golden Valley location which is a little hidden, but Google maps has it accurately located. I had seven rugs deep cleaned. I had already received an estimate by sending in photos with the measurement. (If you do that, send in the measurements in inches, not feet and inches). They were very friendly and helpful, unloading my car, spreading out the rugs in an area just inside the entrance, and giving me a final estimate. Two weeks later, the rugs were done and look great. I've gone there for decades. Very professional service.

I had 4 wool rugs for 10 years and this is was the first time I had them cleaned. We are very neat and clean people, so I was kind of offended when the analysis came back on all 4 rugs as “very soiled”. I expected this for my mud room and entry rugs, but not my large living room rugs. I was completely shocked when my rugs came back laundered, I could immediately tell they were night and day from how they left my house. Clearly they were indeed “very soiled”. I feel like I have brand new rugs - they look amazing! And the communication from emails, to phone calls, to photos of my rugs was 10/10. I would highly recommend American Rug Laundry!
