Treasure Hunters Thrift Store — Local services in Goodlettsville

My friend and I have loved coming to this store now for a couple of years. Seems like a couple of times I've paid with cash...couple of times I've probably paid with various debit/credit cards. Checking out has never ordinarily been a problem, other than the odd days there's a crowd and having to wait. I have an anxiety disorder so I hate waiting in long lines when there's several people waiting behind me... So last week it was pretty busy and I had talk with my hubby about running around to an estate sale and different places with my older friend and he let me have @$100 left on a PayPal account to spend.

Walking in to store I checked and yep,...there was that $100👍🏻.

So, I pick out various things I like as I'm planning my spring decorations at home ...and I head to the checkout. Manager rings me up,... "That'll be $60" Yep-$100 STILL there in the PayPal👍🏻... , ..."DECLINED" she says..."What?!" ...that's not possible. I pullout my phone, look at my account: "$40..." I'm scratching my head,...wait what?

This was the only money I had on me! I text my husband and he's trying to figure out what I must've done. He says, "okay-i guess I can send you more money"... But my friend quickly swoops in and pays for everything with her credit card. In the car I can see clearly $60 from TreasureHunters as a pending transaction on that PayPal. It sits there for three days.

I call PayPal and speak with two different departments. There's nothing they can do until TreasureHunters either releases the hold or processes the transaction, which I can at that point dispute it.

I can the manage lady and she says this has happened to her too when she's attempted to buy things... Their system sometimes DOUBLE charges you. So if you don't have that double amount available of $ in the account, it'll deny the card. Which is what it did to me. She said either on their system the hold will expire and I'll see the $ back in that account OR it will go through and I can get a refund. UNACCEPTABLE! 😤

If I ever choose to go back to this store I will only bring CASH. Do not use a card! I wonder how many people in my situation were accidentally double charged and the patron never knew he paid twice for a transaction. Only if the customer came in disputing the transaction, demanding a refund would the customer get his money back.. 👍🏻How many times were folks swiped and Treasure Hunters were lining...

I have been shopping here for several years. I have filled thier store with donations many times . I have told everyone that I know what a great place this was . Until yesterday . I went in with a friend of mine . The store had been rearranged and looked awful . I found a couple of things and went to the checkout . There was a sign that said to get off of your phone before you checkout . No "please " , just like a direct order . When I went to pay , a lady I had never seen before was checking me out . I had forgotten my orange card to have it punched so I asked her for another one . I told her in the past , that's what the cashiers had done for me and when I got the 10 punches on the combined cards , they would take my 5 dollars off . She said they had never done that and she refused to give me another card . I told her she was rude , and she was ! Two other employees were watching me so I motioned them to come over and told them the issue . They both said the same thing she did and were rude when I told them I had done this many times before . I will NEVER recommend them to anyone again , I will not spend another dime in there and and I sure as heck will NEVER donate to them again. These employees need to be shown how to treat customers 😒...

I will never shop in this store Again O. A diabetic 2 w/A lot of health issues. I have problems with my bladder and having to hold the other. I told them as tactfully as i could and could I please use their restroom. They told me they did not ha e public restrooms and if I needed to go I needed to go a couple of doors down to Hill's to use a restroom. To make a lo,g story short I had an accident trying to make it two doors down. Guess what I didn't make it. It was so humiliating and I thought uncalled for. The store told me it I wanted to use their restroom I needed a doctor's excuse.Really! This is a thrift store. Where is their humiliating. This is suppose to be Christians. I told them I would never set foot their store again!!They just lost a really good customer. Plus I had my little 15 lb dog with me...very well behave. And they had a problem with that. Me and my dog have been in way better places this two bit thrift...
