Home Town DONUTS — Restaurant in Goodlettsville

Phew, I already planned to leave a review after eating our order of donuts - we picked them up before 9am and they were already very stodgy and cold, nothing felt fresh. They had a very artificial taste to them all and the kolaches tasted frozen.

But then today I check my bank account and realize there must be some mistake -- it's showing $46 as the charge for 1 dozen donuts and 6 small kolaches. I call them and find out indeed my order was somehow $39 (again, 6 small sausage kolaches, 1 dozen basic donuts), and that oops we somehow managed to leave a $7+ tip. My poor husband admitted he did select the cheapest recommended tip but didn't fully read it but that calculates that 20% was the LOWEST RECOMMENDED TIP. They had 2 options HIGHER than that on the screen. For literally just throwing some donuts in a box you think we should tip you almost $8??????? That is insane --- I know how those systems work and I know the store/employee sets the recommended %. Yikes.

Decently priced hole-in-the-wall spot, the only donut shop between Shipley's and Krispy Kreme in Madison and a great option if you're in Goodlettsville or Millersville.

Donuts are a bit on the smaller side which is justified given they are only $6/half dozen. Didn't try the cake because I'm not a psychopath but the glazed donuts were light, airy and fresh. You can eat a couple and not feel like death!

Breakfast sandwich was decent too, about $3 for an egg and cheese on a fresh croissant. Egg patty was omelette style and well seasoned and the croissant was fresh.

FYI, posted store hours on door are 7 days a week, 5 AM thru 2 PM.

visited for the first time, the donuts are fresh and with the early opening hours even better. got all the favorites, I only got an assortment of ones i like but this place is worth the visit. very clean and just a few seats to enjoy right in the spot. I would have given 5 stars but they gave me the wrong donut on the order and didn’t realize till I got home cause they put in the bag. they have many more donuts than I am showing. guess you will have to go to find out....
