GameStop — Local services in Goose Creek

I absolutely love my GameStop in Goose Creek. This isn’t a fluff piece at all as moving from the north and coming down here is a night and day difference. What makes it a big difference? It’s all about who your store manager is along with their employees and Christie is absolutely amazing, clutch and crushes her store, along with her team Chase, Jay and the rest of the crew are top notch.

If you’re the DM reading this you need to make sure ALL your store managers take notes from Christie. The way she handled the Switch 2 pre order line was the best experience I’ve ever had at GS. The way she had all the information sheets ready, select what you want and ready to roll making check out even faster, absolutely amazing! I’m sure others had the same system but I can’t confirm as I’ve heard differently from friends back up north.

I normally don’t write thesis reviews like this, but I couldn’t be happier being a customer of the Goose Creek, GS and will forever have my business. Give this women and her team a raise because GS needs more managers and employees...

This place will rip you off and smile in your face. You could trade in a new $60 game that you purchased a week 1/2 ago with a mint condition disk and they'll give you $17 store credit for it. Are you serious? The game itself haven't been out for a month and we can't even get half of our money back. They will take any game and give you pennies for it, but will resell it at a very high price after slapping a $50-55 used sticker on the box. They will also buy your cellphones and tablets and give you $15 for those also. Use EBAY, Amazon, or any site that allows you to sell electronics so Gamestop doesn't give you 1/10th of its value. A week ago I asked for a brand new game that they had in stock. Instead of giving me a game that's sealed in plastic like any other retail store, he goes into the drawer, finds a mint condition disk and puts it into the box with a "new" game sticker on it. Honestly if you go here and expect a high class store that's a you problem brother, it's gamestop, it's supposed to be a quick stop for video games and now collectibles like cards and anime/action figures.

The people that work here don't get paid a six figure salary, hell they prob don't even get insurance.

But I got a pleasant surprise to talk with this guy who seemed genuinely happy to talk with someone about a common intrest in games and collectibles. I didn't even know Gamestop offered pre-orders for stuff like anime figures.

Tl;dr: you want a quick run in to see what games are out or get some merch? Come to gamestop. Want high class six figure commissions based workers? Find something local or lower your expectations.
