Very disappointed in this place as the quality has gone downhill. I've ordered from here a number of times and never really had any issues. Last night I ordered two hibachi meals and crab rangoons and paid over $60 for the meals only for the meats, rice, and veggies to be completely cold and unseasoned TWICE. Even when they "remade" the order that I had to wait 35 minutes for to be made when I brought the food back as they didn't bother remaking it when I told them I was on my way as they wanted to see the food first. The girl on the phone wanted to argue with me that my food shouldn't be cold and didn't want to take that it was as an answer. Even whenever I brought the food back she still wanted to give me trouble about it not being cold. You pay that kind of money and you expect better quality from it. Could've got a better meal elsewhere and we didn't even bother finishing them meals after a couple bites as it was inedible and I was NOT going back a 3rd time to fix it. The cook has no idea what they're doing! The meal had been 3 meat hibachi and I had more meat in it prior that I only had 2 pieces of steak out of. The "New" order of food they gave me 6 tiny little pieces of steak like they reheated the same damn meal from before and STILL left it unseasoned and not hot at all once I got home. Only thing that was hot was the Rangoons the 2nd time around. The meals were also overcooked as if it was reheated and tough to chew through and the steak and chicken was very dry and shrimp was overcooked. It was all overcooked. I have given them 4 chances and every single time I am either missing something or my food is black char burnt. I never once called and complained or said anything. Tonight they forgot something again and when I called in to let someone know so they could credit my card the difference, the person answered and very very quickly said something along the lines of āThank you for calling kanji goose creek we are extremely busy please order onlineā and hung up on me as I was saying Wait! Iām not ordering. Called back and the same thing happed and Iām crying out please donāt hang up stop, please donāt hang up. As Iām doing this the person proceeds to overtalk me and went to go hang up again. I yelled PLEASE DONT HANG UP ON ME. Then silence. I said Iām just trying to let you know I already placed an order and Iām missing something. I can call back if you want when you arenāt busy, but that was absolutely ridiculous. You couldnāt give me 5 seconds to at least explain why Iām calling. Thatās horrible customer service. Iām not mad at the person. He sounded stressed out, over worked and short handed and needed help. I felt bad for him. Employees shouldnāt be this stressed out working. You guys need to hire more people so that workers donāt feel that they canāt give someone 2 mins on the phone to explain why they are calling in. My favorite rolls are salmon, shrimp tempura, and last sushi roll. All the sushi I had every single piece of fish was cut right so it was perfectly tender. I also bought the Kani salad and the flavors are perfect. I love that the salad is light but filling! Definitely a new favorite!
Updated review: 7/30/24 So me and my boyfriend have been twice the last three weeks and we only went the second time to see if they were having a bad day the first time, well I guess it's just getting bad. The service is still great, but the food has gone down drastically. I always order sushi which for me was ok. I won't order the tuna again because it's never cut right so it's very tough but the salmon is good. The last few times I've gotten a roll with Avocado I swear it's never ripe. I don't even know how they cut it it's so hard. My boyfriend has complained a few times about the hibachi and now I have to agree. That is some of the worst hibachi we have ever had. The chicken is seriously so tough, barely any meat and dry! The rice is fine but the veggies are always swimming in sauce. Not just a drizzle of sauce like sauce water. The shrimp is always overcooked so super chewy and they put way too much black pepper on it to the point it's just not edible. It's ridiculous that they cook like that and charge a ridiculous amount of money. 70$ for two people and the food comes out like that? No thanks will definitely go somewhere else for sushi...
