Happy crab seafood — Restaurant in Goose Creek

I ordered: hush puppies appetizer, 1lb snow crab and 1/2lb shrimp combo, juicy flavor, medium spicy. $36ish

Serving style: hush puppies in paper fair-bowl. Seafood boil served in steamed bag (all items in bag). Self-poured into metal plate. Plastic bib, gloves, and fork provided, as well as hand moist towelettes (several) and napkin dispenser on the table. Shell bucket on table. Soda served in reusable plastic cup with plastic straw.

Food review: The food was a 10/10! One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The corn was sweet and easy to eat, the potato was well cooked and soft. The medium spicy level wasn't too spicy and had a lot of spice flavor. The crab was able to be pulled from the shell easy, and it was cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the shrimp, which was deveined and easy to peel, and jam packed with flavor.

Service review: Excellent! Wait service was friendly and very helpful. Entrance/being seated was a little odd (no hostess it seems?).

Atmosphere review: Seemed odd. High ceilings, large bar (not open yet/no liquor license), oddly placed TV(s) that weren't loud, and I think they were playing music. Seemed to create kind of an empty feel, but there were certainly other people there.

Overall review: The cost was a touch high, but what you got for it was way worth it. The atmosphere could be improved, but it didn't hamper the experience much....

Last night my friend’s and I went to Happy Crab to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday and the server, I believe his name was Art was very rude, aggressive and offensive to say the least!!! They FORGOT to add the lobster to my friend’s crab boil and our waitress was very polite and understood. When she went to the kitchen to inform them of the error, Art rushed out demanded to see the contents of her crab bag and even after acknowledging himself that the lobster tail wasn’t there he was still aggressive and rude!! Keep in mind as a group we probably spent $ 400 to $ 500 as my bill alone for my son and I was around $ 116 ( not including the drinks from the bar) and yet this waiter instead of owning the mistake thought it was better to interrupt our celebration because in his mind we had to lie about receiving a $ 15 lobster tail!!! I did enjoy the food and our waitress was amazing but I will NOT TOLERATE mistreatment because I work too hard to spend my money where it’s not wanted!!!! The whole experience was terrible. My fiancé, her sister and I went here last night 3/24. We were seated right away which was probably the only decent thing that happened. After being seated we weren’t even spoken to for at least 13 minutes. When she came to take our order we ordered everything right away. They brought us waters and then we asked for a drink menu, we were told there was only one drink menu and that she’d have to find it because the “manager stole the rest of them” so she brings us the one menu and then doesn’t come back for maybe another 15 minutes. Someone finally comes back and takes out drink orders after they bicker back and forth about whose gonna do it. It still takes them another 45 minutes just to get us our 3 drinks. My fiancé and her sisters food came out maybe after 45 min of us being seated and I ordered CHICKEN TENDERS and it took an hour and 20 minutes to come out.
