Asia Express — Restaurant in South Carolina

Today, we once again ordered from Asia Express and once again (the 4th time) our order was phenomenal, simple fantastic!! I don't know if they hired a new chef or just reinvented themselves but everything was outstanding. Full of flavor, well seasoned and prepared perfectly. Great ingredients, and I believe that says a lot for Delivery and Takeout. Someone is cooking with intention. Excellent, Well done.

I went to add to my initial review of Asia Express and discovered an huge error. I had written a review and placed under the wrong restaurant, my apologies.

The following is what I wrote a few weeks ago but erroneously posted it under the wrong Chinese restaurant. Please accept my most humble apology Asia Express!!

Posted a few weeks ago: The past 3 times we ordered here the food was above expectations - Lo Mein. Pancit, General Tso's...excellent. If you haven't tried their wings, you must. I order them plain and 20 at a time but they give you the whole wing, large and deep fried to perfection. The skin is succulenty crispy, golden brown and very moist, almost fall off the bone juicy on the inside. Always arrives hot, like they just came out of the fryer. I must confess, I'm a bit reluctant to give away this little treasure but they took if off the menu once. And then put it back on. So, look for P9 under "Big Saving Party Platter"...20 Wings for 20...

Horrible customer service. Hibachi is not really hibachi, its stir fry, i asked the owner why list it if you don't offer it. He said so they can offer teriyaki, i told him, teriyaki or not, its the the food is cooked....if i wanted something steamed and stir fried full of liquid... i wouldn't order hibachi. He said yeah but a lot of people like it even though its not real hibachi. Ridiculous. I said thats fine, but thats not whats on your menu or what i ordered and if thats the case, people taking orders should disclose that.

Owner/manager is horrible, ended up just saying... well yeah, okay... sorry. With no resolution, offer to make something else or give refund.

I won't be returning... person answering the phone needed me to repeat it 10 times, was not listening at all. And delivery driver was complete sketch.

I am extremely picky about my Chinese food, but today I wanted to try somewhere new, so I took a chance. I ordered all my usual favorites and I was pleasantly surprised by most of the items. This might be my new go-to if I don't feel like Lam's Garden.

The Crab Rangoon was great, well-stuffed and not overfried. The steamed dumplings were so delicate and I found them delicious, but hubby thought they needed more meat and fewer onions. The dipping sauce was perfect. The chicken sticks were excellent and cooked perfectly, with a fantastic teriyaki glaze.

Hubby's beef lo mein was very good, with tender beef and savory sauce. My orange chicken was nicely breaded and still juicy. The sauce could have used more orange zest. I will request it next time and see what happens.
